DAV College B.Com Review By Manit Sharma

I am a B.Com student of DAV College Chandigarh and I am in my final year and this is the second best college of Chandigarh which also comes under Panjab University. This college helps us to improve our social skills and other soft skills. The bar of education is held high by the college via proper timetable and great teaching faculty. Other facilities that are offered by the college include two canteens and 3 gardens for the students. Plus it also has a safe environment for both boys and girls.

For the B.Com course you need to get pass a specific percentage, if you fulfill that criteria you have a high chance to get admission in this college. Yu need to score good marks in your 12th class to be eligible for the courses and fill out the other information required by the admission form of Panjab University.

The faculty at our college is highly qualified in their specific streams and they bring out the best in students. They are friendly with the students and they do not pressurise us with any work load and gives us the limited homework and assignments. The faculty at our college is very punctual and follows the timetable accordingly and is respectful too.

Yes we have a placement cell at our college that gives out placements for students if they fulfill the criteria to get the placements. the placement packages varies from low to a higher amount the packages may go high uptu 5 lakh and yes it does helps the students acquire the jobs in the industry.

Yes our college has hostel facilities I may not go to the hostel but a friend of mine goes to the college hostel and she thinks that it provides average facilities and the infrastructure is good. The people living in hostel are provided with canteens and they are provided with sports equipment to play. The bathrooms and rooms are uptu the mark and the hostel warden is really helpful and kind.

Starting with the three gardens that our college has umbrella garden really cool spot to hang out with your friends and the second garden is small one but it is peaceful and the third is the palm garden which is really big and beautiful with greenery and benches. Then moving towards the library which provides us with all the important books and an environment where we can focus and study with pin drop silence. We have various blocks including the MLT block which has really good classrooms and it also has ac in it. Our college has a huge ground for various sports majorly cricket and football. A basketball court too is available in the college. 2 canteens are also present in the campus which provides us healthy meals at reasonable prices.

Our college is second best at Chandigarh and there are different types of fests that are organised here from time you time like Treasure Hunt and Karwaan. Big celebrities are invited in these fests to perform for us at. We have prom nights and various clubs like Theatre, Drama, Poetry, Photography, Dance and more. Students can choose these clubs according to their passion and talents. Various other facilities are provided like Shaurya Bhavan which handles all other things and takes queries of the students and this is a great college to study overall.
