Bundelkhand University offers direct admission for B.Sc Forensic Science (Hons.)

The field of Forensic Science is always fascinating and when it comes to Uttar Pradesh then it is the only government university that offers Forensic Science (Honours). The overall experience in the university is good. This university offers direct admission based marks of 12th. The infrastructure and facilities are good in the university. But, it may be a little bit expensive because the fee is 90000 for three years of B.Sc. Other expenses include Hostel fee and mess charges. If you don't have any problem with money and you want a decent institute then you can go here.

For course entry requirements, you should have passed your 12th in Science stream with minimum 66% Marks. There is direct admission and no entrance test is required for B.Sc Forensic Science (Hons.) course. The course is of three years divided into six semesters. It is not a difficult course but it requires you to gain the skills. The motive for enrolling in this program is your interest in crime scene investigation and analysis of evidence.

The faculty is satisfactory. Some of faculty members are pursuing PhD from the same institute and some are PhD holders with teaching experience. Faculty is well-qualified and experienced and knows how to teach the students. They provide you good knowledge regarding the field. All the faculty members are having Forensic background so they understand the way of teaching. They'll teach you through white board, PowerPoint presentation, etc.

We have placement cell but placement isn't provided for the students, which is major drawback of this university. The university has very less support in the campus placement so no campus placement is here. Even you'll find difficulties in getting the job if you have only pursued Bachelor’s in Forensic Science. You'll have to go for masters.

I didn't opt for the hostel but yes there's hostel facility available in the institute. Hostel is little bit costly and not that much good. There are always fights in the hostel. The infrastructure of the hostel is satisfactory. There's no Wi-Fi facility.

The campus infrastructure is very good. When it comes to campus academic block they are well maintained. Other amenities are cafeteria, library, Bundelkhand University Medical College, SBI Bank, Cyber Café, etc. These facilities are okay and provide decent services. The infrastructure of department is quite good and there are lifts for the needy students.

Campus life is average, there's only one club of the students name Kalam's Students Club which is run by the department. Other festivals are organised like Bundelkhand Cultural Fest, which is celebrated with large crowd. Garba is also played. Other activities include Birthday Celebration of APJ Abdul Kalam, etc.
