Symbiosis Law School admissions are based on "AIAT"

I chose SLS, Pune because I wanted to pursue the 3 year LL.B course from a reputed college in India, and indeed it is one. My experience here has been exemplary. I have learned so much in just a year and made so many connections. Networking is what the absolute best thing about this college is. The faculty is very helpful, approachable and reliable. Anyone who wants the best returns out of an LL.B degree should choose this college as the pros outweigh the cons by a huge number.

The course is of 3 years. The eligibility criteria are a previous graduation degree in any field. The application process involves an exam called AIAT, which is of 105 minutes and 60 marks and is conducted online. The application fee is Rs.1000. AIAT is mostly objective, however, there is a 40 mark essay section. Following the clearance of exam, you are required to appear for an online personal interview. The exam is not very tough. you just have to be aware of recent legal developments. The interviewer asks you questions based on your CV, your areas of interests, etc. My motive for enrolling in this program was to get into the legal field after my graduation.

There are various faculty members teaching the 3 year LL.B course. You even get multiple faculties for single subjects so as to manage time of the teachers and students. The faculty is well qualified in their particular fields and holds a thorough experience. A lot of them hold Ph.D in their fields of legal studies. But the best thing about the faculty here is that they are very approachable. They even give out their personal contact information to the students and are very helpful with whatever you need, for example - they are always ready to guide you with writing your research legal papers.

The placement cell of SLS, Pune is one of the best things about it. Although there might be fewer opportunities for the 3 year course students to get placed as compared to the 5 year course students, it mostly depends on your grades and abilities. The cell firstly provides you with internship opportunities through your college years which later help you in securing jobs placements. Reputed firms like Khaitan and Co., Trilegal, and AZB visit every year to recruit children with an average package of 8 lakh per annum which can go up to 15 lakh. Over 60% of the students get placed through campus placements which is a pretty reasonable and honest answer.

Yes, hostels are available for students here. The hostel fee for each year is around 2.5 lakh. It can seem a little too much but the facilities aren't too bad. The infrastructure is good and hostel life overall is pretty fun as students from other Symbiosis institutes also live here, so another opportunity to network. The food is above average and better than other college hostels and there is a lot of variety. Laundry facilities are also available in the hostel. The security is good and the campus has reading rooms and game rooms for students.

The Symbiosis Law School, Pune campus is not very big area wise, but it is sufficient enough as it is only for law students. The campus has courts for badminton, volley ball, basketball, etc. It also has a canteen and a gym arena. The library is quite extensive and even book banks are available to borrow books from. The infrastructure of the college is good. The classrooms are well equipped with a digital boards, projectors, mic and speaker system for the faculty.

The overall campus life in SLS, Pune is pretty amazing. All the people here come from good backgrounds with most of them from families of advocates and judges and networking with them can take you a long way in this field. There are multiple clubs and committees to choose from like the International cell, the Corporate cell, the Human Rights cell, ECOCON cell, etc. The main fest is called Symbhav which is conducted every year in the month of April. A lot of activities are held and students can take part in these activities as per their interest. Music events, dance events and law theater are organised in this fest.
