Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology has clubs for students’ engagement

How I got into DCRUST, firstly there is no need to give any entrance exam for Architecture you can easily qualify all the criteria of admission just by scoring good marks in your high school and intermediate. In my case, I want to go for NIT and SPA so I qualified JEE Paper 2 and National Aptitude of Architecture. You just have to fill a form of admission given by DCRUST official. Then you will get a call from the university itself to pay fee basically for the confirmation of your admission by your side.

The faculty is generally well-qualified with many holding PhDs or Master's degrees. The curriculum is comprehensive and includes practical and theoretical components. Students appreciate the diverse opinions and teaching methods provided by different faculty members each semester. Now if we talk about exams, so it takes place in 6 months a semester and the exams are easy. As in architecture you almost studied everything while designing and taking classes, so all you have to do is to concentrate in class. You will get good marks.

Facilities are well qualified. The permanent faculties are PhD scholars and Master degree holders. They have great knowledge of their subject. They are also quite friendly with us. They will help solving our problems related to hostels, syllabus, and many others. The faculty-student ratio is often highlighted as favorable, allowing for more personalized attention. Their style of teacher is very interactive; they also use smart tools of presentations for easy understanding. Case study, tours, and site visits also happen for easy understanding of the topic of design and typical things.

There are no placement opportunities provided by the side of university for architecture students. They have to do this by their own by building their portfolios with their great works and then they have to approach firms by E-mails or by phone calls.

As I'm a hosteller so I can briefly explain the facilities we get in our hostel. So, basically there are three hostels for girls: Mother Teresa hall, Gorge hall, and Kalpana Chawla hall. There are four hostels for boys: BH1, 2, 3, and 4. Their food is of good quality and they provide proper three meals in a day with evening tea / Nimbu pani as well. Washing machines are provided for students. There is also a beauty parlor in Kalpana Chawla hall. And now if we talk about surrounding of hostel so it has lot of greenery where you can take a walk and play outdoor games to calm your mind. Washrooms are little scary sometimes because there is leakage and broken doors you can find in hostel washroom.

The university campus is spacious and well-maintained with good greenery. The infrastructure includes modernized classrooms with smart boards, air conditioning, and soundproof systems. The campus also has a large library, laboratories, sports facilities, and multiple hostels for both boys and girls. We have separate blocks for different departments like C.V. Raman block for architecture and civil, JB block, etc. A huge library building with proper air conditioning system and an attached reading room is also provided with it. Recent upgrades include smart classrooms equipped with air conditioning, soundproof systems, and new benches.

The university offers a vibrant campus life with various extracurricular activities and societies that students can join. The infrastructure is generally well-regarded with facilities like a large library, laboratories, sports centers, and clean hostels. There were so my clubs and associations for students’ engagement in various activities that help them grow in these fields also. Some groups and associations include JZAA, SKA, RPG, REBEL, HARYANVI MANDALI, GOONZ, and Lisoc. Fests are also organised in a month, which are also very exciting like Rooh dard-e-mohabbat, Rythm, Estructura, etc.
