A comprehensive review on Dayananda Sagar University Bangalore

Overall Rating
Dayananda Sagar University is one of the three branches of Dayananda Sagar Institutions. The university provides various courses in different fields of study be it B.Tech, Medical or Commerce. The university's main focus has always been on the academics so if you are expecting lots of fun and activities then you have to be disappointed. Although the new campus at Harohalli does provide you with lots of extra-curricular activities.
 

Academics Rating
The college does have a good academic structure. One can enroll to the college by giving exams like DSAT, which is university's own exam. The selection of student depends upon the result of DSAT, 10th and 12th score. As far B.Tech is concerned the university provides you with wide variety of streams such as CSE, Mechanical, and Aerospace. CSE students can also choose their desired specialization such as AI, Data Science, and Cyber Security.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of DSU is highly qualified and they do have the knowledge of the subject. Although this holds true for only the senior faculty members. The HODs of the subject are highly qualified and they do have real skills. The new joining faculty members do lack experience and their way of teaching and command over the class is quite average.
 

Placement Rating
DSU has a placement cell. The placement cell takes care of all the placements from the college and provides you with decent placement opportunities. Although getting placed completely depends on a students’ knowledge and skills. They provide you with some good opportunities and bring good companies to the campus. All placement activities take place in DSCE campus which is situated in Kumaraswamy layout.
 

Hostel Rating
DSU provides separate hostels for both boys and girls. The hostel's are quite comfortable to say and well managed although the hostels fees are quite high.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of DSU of is average. The campus situated at Kudlu gate had only two blocks with no ground, basketball court, football court. The campus is very small if you compare it with universities. The CSE labs are also average, not every system is working, and sometimes the mouse, cable or something is missing. The college library is good.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life at DSU is very average. all you have to do is study, write exams, complete assignments on time and that’s it. now and then there will be some functions held in the campus but that will be also very average. There will be a lot of hackathons, coding contest which will be arranged by the clubs but as far as fest and other engagement activities are concerned you will be disappointed.

  • Well balanced college, will definitely make a big change in your life

    The college has a decent environment of learning for Aerospace engineering students as I am a part of B.Tech aerospace. Honestly, to score well you must be good with professors. You need to be good with Academics but a good relation with professor’s helps a lot. The University provides a lot of opportunities to grow. They have best programs and a Satellite centre that is run by all Ex-ISRO scientists who help you grow in space technology.... Read Full Review
