IITJ from my point of view

Overall Rating
As a government funded technical institution, this institute becomes the most obvious choice of students who really want a great college life and moreover you enter in this institute by cracking JEE Advanced, toughest entrance exam of India and if I talk about the institute it is a must go college if you want quality education, never forgetting campus life and most important thing is that what will learn here will help in your future career.
 

Academics Rating
I am enrolled in the branch of Chemical Engineering in Bachelors of Technology program and to get admission you have to crack JEE Advanced with a decent score. At my time of admission the AIR varied from 12500 to nearly 13800. And my motivation to get admission in this institute is just for the IIT tag and the strong alumni network it provides and lastly I would like to mention that you must have scored an aggregate marks of 75 percentage in your 10+2 and it is must required qualifications to get admitted here.
 

Faculty Rating
I am in a core branch of Chemical Engineering department and here the faculty is very much good if I compare it with different colleges. they not only teach us in a very professional manner but also manages our curriculum in such a way that we can learn a particular subject both theoretically and practically and the most important part, if you are having problem in a particular subject the faculty members also extends the deadline or they give some extra efforts after the normal classes (basically doubt sessions).
 

Placement Rating
Our institute has a particular section regarding placements which comes under the co-circulars affairs of our institute and that is board of career development. It is divided into career development cell and career guidance cell and nearly 88.52% of students got placed this year with an average package of 21.50 LPA and medium package of 17 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we do have hostel facilities with fully furnished rooms equipped with air conditioner, single occupancy and every hostel is equipped with gym, discussion room, and for entertainment it also has a common TV room. We also have an inter hostel fest for sports, art and culture.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our campus is spread over an area of 852 acres. Overall the infrastructure of the institute is good. It has various facilities for the students to study properly.
 

Campus Rating
As I provided most of information above the remaining discussion is about fest and clubs. Regarding clubs here we have clubs for everything starting from coding to robotics and from sports to cultural clubs. We also have an automobile club and the interesting part is it also has an option to create your own club. Regarding fests, we have three flagship events of our campus that are Varchas (sports), Ignus (art and culture) and Prometo (technology and entrepreneurship). We also have interred hostel and inter departmental events.

    My overall experience here is awesome. Compared to other second generation IITs it has better infrastructure and faculty-student bonding. Here we get single occupancy fully air-conditioned rooms from first year onwards, which brings you more effectiveness and productivity. Fests make your college life fun.   • A Cold Place in the desert

    Firstly, I choose this college because it is in my home state. The overall environment of my college is very good and overwhelming. The academics, placements, sports etc. all are very good, and opportunities are there to take your career to new heights.     Don’t think IIT Jodhpur is not worthy as good as IIT Indore, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Dhanbad. Yes it is not as good as IIT Bombay or IIT Madras or IIT Delhi, But among new IIT’s it’s got good Infrastructure, Good College Life, Nice Hostels and Mess, And what every student searches for good placements as well.   • A great college for overall personality development along with academics

    Overall it's a very great college with an amazing campus spread across 850 acres. The thing I like the most about IITJ is that it focuses on your overall personality development apart from academics. Here you can explore different clubs such as astronomy, music, dance, drama, programming, robotics, entrepreneurship and what not!! You have a plethora of amazing opportunities available out there.   • My review of IIT Jodhpur
     

    Overall Rating
    At first, when I was allotted this college I didn't feel very good to be honest. I was just glad that I got into an IIT. After coming to Jodhpur, I realised that not only the college campus but the city was great too. Most important of all is that the hostels were clean and the mess food was good. These two points I don't think you'll find in most of the colleges. The sports Complex is pretty well developed.
