Mithibai: The Best College

Overall Rating
Mithibai College is located in Vile Parle, Mumbai. It is one of the best colleges for Arts, especially for the BMM course. The faculty of BMM is quite good and vast. Students are given one to one personal guidance. There are many departments in this college that give students practical knowledge, The Mithibai Film Society is one of them. There are other extracurricular activities like fine arts, sports and drama that all comes under the MCC Mithibai Cultural Committee. One of the most popular fests is organised here.
 

Academics Rating
The criteria for getting in BMM is to give the CUET exam (Common University Entrance Test). Both your 12th marks and CUET score are taken under consideration for admission. The admission happens on the basis of the merit list. There are reservations for the Gujarati minority; this gives them a special advantage. The motive is to get the perfect knowledge about movies, theater and the Media field.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of BMM is pretty great. The subjects help to increase the practical and theoretical knowledge of the students. All the professors are quite qualified and the permanent faculties are the best. Although, the visiting the faculty is not that good as compared to the permanent faculty. Frequent exams are conducted in the department to test if the students have any doubt. Each and every student is given personal attention and guidance.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a department for providing training and placements to the students. The placement cell helps students to get internships. This fosters students to gain practical knowledge of the department that they are studying in.
 

Hostel Rating
No, we don't have any hostel facility in the college. But there are various hostels and PGs available at walking distance from the Mithibai College. There are only buildings throughout the campus. There is not much of a campus life here.
 

Infrastructure Rating
This college consists of three other colleges. There is a 9-storey building having AC classrooms. There are many labs like the science labs and media lab that provides practical knowledge to the students. The field visits and industrial visits provide the students with all the knowledge required and observation of the actual working of the industry.
 

Campus Rating
There is no such ground in this college, but there are various departments like MCC that provide many extracurricular activities. The Mithibai Film Society (MFS) is one of the most helpful societies for the BMM students. The fest of this college is called ‘Kshijt’. It is the best and biggest fest of Asia as it invites many celebrities and film stars. This fest is held mostly in the end of January. It is one of the most energetic and joyful fests. This college also conducts inter-college competitions.

    Mithibai College of Arts is an institute for overall growth. The institution wherein an individual will enter as a timid student but will come out as a confident individual. I did my Bachelor's of Mass Media from Mithibai college in the year 2019.     I have studied in Mithibai College of Arts for 5 years, starting from junior college and must say Mithibai is undoubtedly a great choice. Teaching faculty is the best, infrastructure is great and provides you the best placement opportunities. Along with studies the college always promoted the importance of getting indulged in extra-curricular activities as well.     Mithibai, one of Mumbai's heartthrob colleges, is known for playing well within itself. Almost all the colleges offer the BMM course in Mumbai, and a mandatory entrance test is required to get admission. I was getting admissions in Ruparel, Wilson College, and other colleges but Mithibai College was perhaps the only college in Mumbai that I knew before even landing in Mumbai.     Mithibai College admissions are transparent and only a few are allowed through backdoors. The crowd of Mithibai does not only consist of riches but you will find people of all financial backgrounds here. Besides that, many students from other cities and states also study in this college because there is no discrimination.
