Life as a student at Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth

Overall Rating
I choose this institution solely because of the course that they offered. The college provides wide range of courses to choose from. The overall experience as a CVV student is not that bad. I would not recommend this college if you are looking for enjoying the college life. But in case of studies I highly recommend this college to others.
 

Academics Rating
The course that I have chosen is B.Com (Hons.). It’s a course that offers both UG along with a professional degree which helps us to save almost 3 years of further education. The motive was mainly the 9 paper exemption that they offered in ACCA. Only few colleges have such exceptions. The entry requirement is 12th graduate in any field.
 

Faculty Rating
One of the main attractions is that the faculties are highly qualified and professional in various areas. They have several papers published under their name. As they are well qualified they could provide us with the right quality education as upcoming professionals. The faculties are very approachable and friendly. The style of teaching includes lots of examples and case studies which will help us with the real life situations.
 

Placement Rating
There is no such placement cell in particular at the institute but very few campus recruitments take place here.
 

Hostel Rating
I am not a hostler but from what I have heard from my colleagues is that the hostel at the Eranakulam campus is not that hygienic. And it's a bit costly for the middle class families.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college campus has various blocks and departments such as IKS and CKS. The overall building and infrastructure is great but the college is less spacious. It doesn't even have a proper ground for any sports or activities and the auditorium is always locked. There is air conditioned labs and library. The library offers variety of journals and books for references.
 

Campus Rating
The overall experience in the campus is not that great. The campus life that we all accept is not fulfilled here. There are variety of clubs but they are not active at all. And only have few fests when compared to other colleges. Only programs that are held are Freshers, Mark Spire, Jabagadadash, Onam, Urja (sports), Holi and Convocation. And all these programs are held off after the regular classes.

    Overall Rating
    The main reason for me to choose this is this college is providing Bachelor of Commerce + Association of Chartered Certified Accountants with a 9 paper exemption in Association of Certified chartered accountants, that is the main reason why I choose this college. Overall I am very satisfied with this college. They provide very good atmosphere for the students to study and importantly it is the best place to study about life and have a very good vision for the future.... Read Full Review
