KIIT BBSR cut-offs for CSE branch is usually 85%

I had already decided to opt for a private engineering college and KIIT was the most superior option because of its proximity from my house, its placement cell, and overall campus life. Faculty is experienced, student exposure is also quite good and the general crowd is better than that of other places. Hostels are clean, however pretty strict. Fee structure is a little on the higher side but apart from that it is a very good institute.

B.Tech spans over four years. To be eligible for counseling you have to appear for the KIITEEE examination. 75% in boards is a must. The cutoffs for CSE branch is usually 85% in KIITEEE while that of IT is 75%. My motive behind joining KIIT was, as I previously mentioned, the placement cell and the campus life.

Faculty is quite knowledgeable with specialization degrees in their respective fields. Some teachers don't want to give marks or make an issue out of attendance but other teachers are actually helpful with notes and stuff. They teach only what is required in class and if the student is interested in learning more than they can reach out to them personally.

Placements are quite nice and many big companies like Accenture, Deloitte and PWC come as recruiters. Around 65-70% students get placed and others opt for higher studies. Average package is 6 LPA and highest can exceed to 30 LPA.

Residential facilities are available. Hostel rooms include a bed, desk, chair, a closet, bed sheets, pillow and bucket. The rooms are cleaned every day. Washrooms include bathing and toilet stalls which are both cleaned every day. Washing machines are available for student use. However, Mess food is below average and not very tasty. There are sports complex present within every hostel that includes gym, swimming pool, and other sports activities. There is also a garden for students to roam in the evenings. The movement of girl students however is very restricted and authorities are particularly strict with girls.

Every school of study under KIIT has an academic block so there are lots of blocks that are solely made for a particular field of study. The campus is huge and very green too. The library is multistoried, centrally AC and one of the most attractive spots in the college with a wide range of books. There are also several gardens that are maintained every day, along with auditoriums, canteens, and facilities for sports and recreation across the campus.

Campus life is very much alive and breathing in KIIT. We have at least 1-3 events hosted by some or the other society every month and the biggest event is the KIIT FEST held in February. There are lots of societies to choose from, both technical and non technical, where you can grow and learn about what you're interested in. I myself am a part of the dance and fashion team and trust me, it's awesome. We visit other colleges for competitions, practice within ourselves, and have lots of fun.
