IIT Kanpur – A institute with various facilities

Overall Rating
Firstly I chose IIT Kanpur because it was my dream. Then if we talk about counseling I was best suitable for this college according to my rank and after entering the college the first unique thing I saw here is Senior and junior interaction system which made me feel that it was my right choice to choose IIT KANPUR for my graduation and I also encourage others to join this institute.
 

Academics Rating
The course I'm pursuing is Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering so to enter in this particular course of IIT KANPUR one should have a valid JEE advance rank under 6000. The eligibility is 12th pass with PCM and more than 75% aggregate marks. The main motive of enrolling in this program is its facilities. The college has world class level laboratories with latest equipment.
 

Faculty Rating
The current HOD of my course is Prof. Priyank Ghosh who has more than 300 publications. There are various other renowned faculty members in the college. Their background is almost international. They had done their Ph.D from foreign universities. The style of teaching is very highly advanced. One should at least read beforehand the topic they are teaching to gain enough knowledge to understand.
 

Placement Rating
I have placement cell named as Student Placement Office (SPO) which takes care of the entire placement and internship related queries of campus students. They try very hard so that all the students get placed with their dream package.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we have residential hostel in our campus. It is compulsory to stay there. The first year hostel is very fascinating for UGs. They allot HALL 13 as their fresher's hostel. Every hall has its own reputation and in total there are currently 15 hostels including girl’s hostel. A mess and indoor & outdoor games facilities are also provided in every hostel. There is no restriction between girls and boys hostel movements in daytime.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus infrastructure is around 60 years old which is very unique and captivating. The most beautiful is our PK Kelker Library. IIT Kanpur has the largest open air theater in India. The lecture hall complex has seating capability of 1000 people at a time. We have the auditorium with the capacity of accommodating 2500 people at a time.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life at IIT KANPUR is complete without any marks of uncaring. The campus has clubs and 3 fests (Antaragni, Udghosh, and Techkriti). The campus area is 1025 acre which is a city in its own. There are regular talks and club activities organized timely. Fresher's interact with seniors with help of inter hall competition and many more.
