My Experience at MNLU, Nagpur

Overall Rating
The Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur provides excellent education and training for young lawyers. This university support students in cultural and academic initiatives to provide a well rounded education. This university is committed to creating a safe and inclusive learning experience for everyone. MNLU promotes students to take part in extracurricular activities such as moot courts and debates to insure the proper development of students.
 

Academics Rating
This university has well designed and up to date courses that cover both theory as well as the practical application of law. It covers all the necessary laws and concepts with adequate interpretations. The exams are based on applying the law in practical scenarios rather than just asking the raw meaning of laws. Students are given projects to promote studies on important topics.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties have all the necessary qualifications and are competent in their respective fields. Most faculties have completed their doctorate or are in process of doing so. They are always available for clearing doubts, project consultation as well as discussing topics related to their respective subjects. They also help students in extracurricular activities like moot courts, reviewing research papers, etc.
 

Placement Rating
The university has a dedicated, active and student led committee for placements. Students have been placed in tier-1 law firms.
 

Hostel Rating
There are two hostels for the girls and boys respectively. The hostels are well spaced, furnished and ventilated.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There is an academic and administrations block where the library, administrations of the university, stationary and all the classes take place. There is a faculty chamber, where students can interact with the faculty members. There is an amenities block, having a mess that serves food. However, the campus is still under construction.
 

Campus Rating
The campus is spacious and lively. The student led communities like the Gender Sensitization Committee as well as the Hostel and Hospitality Committee keeps the campus safe and inclusive for all. The Cultural Committee organizes fests like the Live Spirit Week and Lawkriti. This promotes socialization and creates a positive atmosphere in the campus. The Sports Committee also has its own programs and dedicated fests.

  • NLU Nagpur hostels are probably the best among all NLUs
     

    Overall Rating
    Considering it’s a new national law university, it’s performing better than its peers which were established in a similar time frame. The university maintains a healthy ratio of boys and girls and has a gender sensitization committee with an aim to eliminate discrimination among genders and different socio-economic backgrounds. My experience is quite mixed for MNLUN. While I feel the need for the inclusion of a more diverse crowd, there's still an abundant crowd from the rest of India.... Read Full Review

    I chose this university because of the location of 'Nagpur'. Also, this university has one of the best infrastructures among other NLUs. The hostel facilities are the best and some of the best faculties teach here. Further, we get an internship break of 4 months, where we can intern whenever we want to get practical experience....     Overall Rating
    Overall the university is quite dynamic, established through act of state legislature in year 2014. It is the university which has provided its students with such a dynamic mooting exposure with all the reimbursements. It also provides exposure of debating and cultural fests of other universities. Over all the things it has the best set of faculties and academic curriculum which made me to chose this university.... Read Full Review
