My Overall Experience at Seth Soorajmull Jalan Girls College

Overall Rating
I joined Seth Soorajmull Jalan Girls College because I heard from my seniors that it is the only college which focuses more on studies and is quite strict with its rule but also friendly with its students. The college is quite spacious with an awesome library and the faculties are super loving and knowledgeable. It also provides the students with lots of opportunities which are best for their future.
 

Academics Rating
I completed my Bachelor's of Commerce (Hons.) from Seth Soorajmull Jalan Girl's College. I scored 89% in my higher secondary ISC and when I applied for this college, I got my name out in the first list itself. I wanted to get an undergraduate degree so that it can be an additional with my professional degree.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties of my course were too good and interactive. Their teaching methods are always based on real life applications. Specially our HR sir, he is most student friendly teacher I have ever seen. Other faculties for Economics, Management, Accounts, and Law were also good.
 

Placement Rating
Yes it has a placement cell in the college.
 

Hostel Rating
No.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is quite big and spacious, it has a canteen on the rooftop, and a big library which consists of all books related with the courses, it is on the second floor, two computer labs are also on the second floor. It also has an office on the ground floor, a hall for the events, big classrooms and may other facilities.
 

Campus Rating
Our college celebrates all occasions and events. It celebrates every cultural event and encourages the students to participate and organise the events. The college also takes part in other college’s fest. Also it actively takes part in sports. Not only sports but also it focuses on academic excellence and social awareness.

    Overall Rating
    It is located in the most famous college area of Kolkata, i.e. College Street. It is affiliated with the Calcutta University and recognized by UGC. The admission was done based on the 12th percentage. It is all girls' college with single teaching shift from 7:30 am to 1 pm. The number of seats in every honors department is limited to 60.
