NSUT Delhi holds a perfect balance of academics, fun, and opportunities. My experience yet has been thrilling and lovely. The beautiful hostel and campus life have made a tremendous positive change in my personality and have given me an overall holistic development. The environment and the crowd are very supportive and open minded. Event held in the years have shown me the world, given me exposure to things I would have not imagined. I would highly recommend Netaji Subhas University of Technology to anyone out there holding a good rank. Please consider joining in and witnessing the real life experiences.

The departmental courses are taught in a very structured manner, taking things from the very basic to reaching advanced concepts. The students have tons of options in the elective courses. For example, a student studying in the Electronics branch can take optional subjects from the Computer science stream, the Management department, Humanity, Mechanics or any other department’s courses he/she wants to take. The courses are designed in a manner where students are given exposure to theoretical concepts and given hands on experience in the practical field. There is a mandatory 75% attendance rule in college, which if breached will result into detention for the respective subject. The classes are 5 days per week and each subject is given maximum of 5 hours every week. The academic load is just perfect as it needs to be in a college. Hence the academic structure is distinctly stable for opportunities in each and every sector.

Faculties are knowledgeable and experienced. You can always reach out to your faculties through Google classrooms or WhatsApp, they do respond. Be it academic doubts or general problems, faculties are always open to help you around and guide you in the best possible manner. When it comes to teaching in a classroom, neither they make sure that it is not getting any boring nor if students are diverted from their interest. They always come up with new ways to keeps the class happening. Faculties always encourage to take parts in various events be it hackathons, industrial visits, research papers etc. You can always reach out to the professors for Letter Of Recommendation (LOR). You can also work under various professors’ right from the start of your college if the interest aligns. At the end of every semester we have to give ratings to faculty members which is kept anonymous and taken very seriously by the college. If there is any problem that comes up in regards of faculties you can always reach out to the head of department and serious actions will be taken. overall, the faculties are humble and helpful and do not make you feel uneducated or worthless. They can be your first support at times and your great mentors.

There is a Training and Placement Cell in NSUT Delhi which is very active the entire year. It keeps sending opportunities for every year students irrespective of the branch. The placements have been decent even in the recession season. Top companies have visited and selected the students. Companies from all the sectors, be it tech, non tech, core, fashion, management, finance, etc. have visited the campus for their placement drive. Regular sessions for students are conducted to prepare them for the placements. The university provides internships internally, in the university itself to provide the experience for the real world out there. The Training and placement cell overall fills the gap between the knowledge imparted by the institute and the real world expectations.

Yes, the college provides hostel facilities to students but not all the students are allotted hostel. People having outside Delhi quota or a distinct amount of distance (75km+) are given priority in the allotment process. If vacancies exist, other students are considered for the hostel. The hostel timings for girls are 10:30 pm and very strict with the timings whereas timings for boys are 11:30 pm. The hostels have badminton courts and canteens. It also provides mess facility which includes breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. The mess food is pretty good and has variety of options. The environment in the hostel is very homely. The rooms vary from single person room to 4 seaters. The rooms are pretty spacious. Every electronic device such as a kettle, press, etc. is allowed. The washrooms have a geyser which works all the time. Some hostels have A.C. and students having good grades are only allotted such hostels. Overall, hostel life is pretty smooth and easy.

There are different academic blocks for each department. The blocks are fully air conditioned. The classrooms are huge and have a very lively environment. There is a huge library which is open from 10 am to 6 pm and has a great collection of books. There is high speed Wi-Fi network across the campus. The University has 3 campuses spread across Delhi, the main campus in Dwarika, the east campus in Geeta colony, and the west campus in Jaffarpur. There are workshops for core branches in which you get the hands-on experience for the respective courses. There are 3 auditoriums with good facilities. The infrastructure is made well keeping in mind the academic growth and personality development for the students.

The campus size is 145 acres which is very huge. The campus is very vibrant and peaceful. The campus has facilities for all types of sports. It has basketball, badminton, and volleyball courts. It has different and big grounds for football and cricket. There are also running tracks. Indoor sports like table tennis, carom, chess, etc. are also available. One can use all these facilities at any time of the day. Students are also given free access to the gym. A gym trainer is also there who will help you without any charges. There is a nursery in the campus. The entire campus is lush green which is full of plants, flowers and trees. This makes the place very peaceful, calm, quite, and lovely. There are many clubs in the college. A number of clubs and societies actively organise and participate in various competitive events as well as conduct engaging events. Some events change the entire look of the college such as, the annual fest of college, MOKSHA. Moksha is a 4-5 days college fest that has various activities, from dance competitions to prom to modeling to coding challenges and everything. Some or the other activity keeps happening in college and hence the campus stays happening the entire year.
