Overall Rating
Cooch Behar Government Engineering College is a promising institution for engineering education in West Bengal. While it is still in the growth phase, it has the potential to develop into a prominent engineering college in the region. Prospective students should consider their personal preferences and career goals when deciding to join CGEC.
 

Academics Rating
CGEC offers undergraduate programs in various engineering disciplines such as Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Computer Science Engineering. The curriculum is designed as per the guidelines of MAKAUT and aims to provide a solid foundation in technical education. However, being a new institution, it is still in the process of developing its full academic potential.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty at CGEC consists of a mix of experienced and young educators. Many of them hold advanced degrees and are committed to providing quality education. However, there can be variations in the teaching standards across different departments. The HOD's of every department are very helpful and very co-operative. If you have any doubt they will help you as much as they can to solve your doubt.
 

Placement Rating
Placement opportunities at Cooch Behar Government Engineering College are improving each year. While the placement cell is actively working to build relationships with industry partners, students may need to put in extra effort to secure internships and job offers. The college organizes workshops and training sessions to enhance students' employability skills.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels are not available for 1st to 3rd year students. But it is sure that it will be available soon for the all year students. The hostel fees are very less as compared to mess fees and the food is good and it is eatable.
 

Infrastructure Rating
It’s currently in developing stage and the ongoing improvements in infrastructure and placements. The location of the college is very beautiful. Overall the infrastructure of the college is nicely built.
 

Campus Rating
The campus is in middle of nowhere. But there is a town nearby. However the campus itself is beautiful and is filled with greenery. The scenic beauty of the nature here is absolutely breathtaking. Torsa river is flowing beside the campus and the beauty of the river is breathtaking. CGEC has so many clubs, for Dance there Nirtyanirvanya, for confident speaking there is peptalks, for singing there is melodies of CGEC. It has its own sports club which is very much active from the beginning.

    I choose this Coochbehar Government Engineering College because this is government college and the tuition fee is 6000 per semester and it has 8 semester and total fees was 48000. Along with this you have to pay 1200 rupees for examination fees and you have to pay other extra curriculum fee which is almost 500 rupees.... Read Full Review

    This review contains all the details about the academic, technical, placements, sports, mess, foods, etc. The teachers in our college are quite experienced and have Ph.D in their respective courses. They will help a lot in final year projects specifically for CSE branch. Other departments are also quite good and provide internship training after the pre final year.... Read Full Review

    My overall experience for this college is not good. I took admission in this college, because I did not know the internal system. I just saw the review and that was positive, so I took the admission, but that was wrong. Yes, one thing is good that from the college side you would not get so much pressure, so you will able to do your stuffs or your works more smoothly.
