St Thomas Institute for Science and Technology, Trivandrum is an engineering degree delivering institute under the Kerala Technical University (KTU). They provide Bachelors degree in Computer science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. It also offers M.Tech but only in Geological studies (Civil Engineering).

To be eligible for the admission, students typically need to complete their high school education or diploma course. For a student who completed high school education in science stream can easily understand the majority of the subjects in first year. So there are two options to enter into the college, they are by KEAM score or you can go for Management or NRI seats. For a diploma holder it's easy by writing entrance exam called LET which is conducted by Technical Education Department of Kerala.

The faculties in each department are experts in their respective field. Most for the teaching staffs are highly qualified. They are ready to provide notes and other materials in digital format. The faculty's collective efforts helped me to develop my skills, knowledge and personality.

The placement cell has established a good relationship with most of the leading companies. And we have a dedicated and active placement officer. In my batch most of the students got placed in different companies across the country.

The hostel facility at our college is comfortable and convenient, for both boys and girls. The both hostel buildings are inside the campus.

Most of the classes are modern and equipped with projectors and white board. Well equipped laboratory and well maintained workshop and labs are available here. Most of the machines in computer science and engineering labs are new. There are 4 different buildings for workshop, laboratory, classroom, and canteen.

St Thomas Institute for Science and Technology campus has vibrant and active clubs. The moment when you step foot on campus, you feel the freshness of nature. The college fest named as YASYA is organised every year. The college life is fun and lively, with various events, clubs and activities. There is a pretty good basket ball court inside the campus. The college also has a play ground for cricket and football. Here various sports competitions are held between department’s students as well as staffs.
