College Review on the Institute of Engineering and Management

Overall Rating
IEM Kolkata is best for Engineering as it provides good placements. There is an AC, computer and projector in every classroom. In this college there is a basketball court and library. They have a college uniform. There are fun technical festivals held every year for the students.
 

Academics Rating
This course is suitable for those computer addictive students who didn’t have the subject Science in their boards. This course is good for the better understanding of a computer. Every semester has lab classes, special classes for government jobs and classes for communication skills. There is also a coding laboratory.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties are very good and are highly educated. If you have any problem they give time to you to solve the problem, like after college 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Each and every subject has one or two faculties. So, if any one of the faculty is absent the other faculty will substitute the class.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have a placement cell. The placement is quite good compared to the other college placements. It's really helpful for the students.
 

Hostel Rating
I have stayed in the hostel, it's quite good. But it's also strict; the gate gets locked at 7 p.m. for both girls and boys. The food quality in the hostel is average.
 

Infrastructure Rating
This college is old. There is not much place in the campus. But the infrastructure is quite good; the building has 5 or 6 floors. This college has a basketball court. There are two canteens; one is the front of the college while the other is inside the college.
 

Campus Rating
According to me the campus is very small. So during the break-time students play basketball in the court. It usual becomes a little crowded. Throughout the year there are so many workshops, quizzes and technical festivals here.

    Overall experience in the institution is impressive. 1st year was little bit difficult because of the new environment and lots of restrictions.   • IEM: The one with best infrastructure and 24*7 library access.

    Overall the college is good with good placements and faculty. All the facilities are provided with very efficient machinery. Ample of project and opportunities are provided too. Location is quite accessible from any part of the state and surrounding areas. Discipline is one the most appreciated things in our college.   • Why You Should Choose IEM

    I enrolled for B.Tech degree in IEM, salt lake campus in the year 2022. I gave WBJEE and according to my rank I got CSE (IoT) department. The main reason for choosing this college was its promising placement records and others should join for the very same reason.
