Bundelkhand Institute of Engineering and Technology (BIET), Jhansi, is a government-funded technical institute in Uttar Pradesh, India. College provides undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering, technology and management. Key programs include B.Tech, M.Tech and MBA. The curriculum aligns with the guidelines of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), maintain the balance between theoretical and practical knowledge. Changes in the courses and subjects occur as per AKTU guidelines.

You can take admission in BIET through JEE Mains which is commonly known as Joint Entrance Examination. Candidates should meet the BIET Jhansi eligibility criteria for the course. After clearing the entrance examination, candidates should appear for the counseling process provided by AKTU. In B.Tech there are six branches which are Computer Science Engineering, Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Chemical Engineering.

The faculty consists of experienced and highly qualified professors, many holding doctoral degrees with significant research contributions. They are generally known to be approachable and supportive. Shashank Gupta is one of the best faculties of BIET Jhansi due to his teaching style and strong command in DSA and supportive nature.

BIET Jhansi has an active placement cell that collaborates with various companies for campus recruitment. The cell also organizes workshops and training sessions. Major recruiters include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, and Tech Mahindra, and more. The average package typically ranges between 3-4 LPA, with higher packages for top performers. The highest package offered in year 2024 is 15 LPA. Some student also crack off-campus placement in year 2022 two student got placed in Google from Computer Science Engineering branch.

Separate hostels for boys and girls include basic amenities such as Wi-Fi, common rooms, and mess services. There are two hostels for girls Yashodhara for first year and final year girls and Kalpana Chawla for second year and third year girls. The condition of hostel buildings is not good but the facility provided in girl’s hostel is far better than boy’s hostel. There six boys hostel Vrindavan for first year boys, Saket and Rajendra for second year boys, Panchwati for third year and Jay Bharat for final year.

The campus area of the college is 240 acres; the campus includes academic buildings, hostels, a library, sports facilities, and residential quarters for faculty and staff. The central library has a vast collection of books, journals, and e-resources, offering sample study materials with facility of good Wi-Fi. Staff of the library is very helpful and supportive. At the start of semester, books are issued to student according to their courses for 6 months. Labs are Equipped with up-to-date facilities for various engineering disciplines, the laboratories provide hands-on learning experiences. Each department has separate buildings in college. Now coming to the best thing about my college is sports. The institute provides adequate sports facilities for Basketball, TT, Chess, Cricket, Volleyball, Football, Badminton, and Athletics, with regular inter-branch (PACE) and inter-college (PRABHANJAN) sports events. Our Basketball girls team and TT girls team is winner of Zonal 2023 which is organized by AKTU and known as annual sports fest. Overall our college provides good facility in sports.

Various clubs and societies focus on interests such as robotics, coding (the syntax society), literature (literary sub council), arts (fine art and hobbies sub council), and entrepreneurship (IIC), contributing to students' holistic development. The college hosts several technical and cultural festivals, such as Tech Fest known as INOVANZA organised by IIC, Cultural Fest is known as UTSAV and fine art fest MAHOTSAV, offering students opportunities to showcase their talents and skills.
