Campus review on Hidayatullah National Law University

Overall Rating
Upon clearing CLAT, a few concerns of students are often “how is the campus” & “how are the facilities”. HNLU has a great campus and facilities, beginning from infrastructure to faculty everything are good. Even though it is around 25 kms from the main city still availability of transportation is not an issue. The college has its own bus services which start every evening at 4. We also have city bus services close to the college. So overall it’s great.
 

Academics Rating
To get admitted to HNLU one needs to clear CLAT. It invites top scorers with a rank around AIR 500 which keeps fluctuating. However, there are certain reservations like ST, SC, OBC, state reservation, women quota, etc. It also admits students through NRI quota. Further it offers an integrated course in B.A.LL.B for undergraduate degree. It also has its LLM and Ph.D programs.
 

Faculty Rating
The college has a great faculty. We have properly engaged lectures. The college hours are 9:00-4:00pm with a break of 1 hr from 2:00-3:00. The faculty here maintains a good relationship with students. Most of them are very supportive and friendly. Many of them like engaging the class with student interaction.
 

Placement Rating
The college has a separate cell for placements and internships which is fully functional. Internship cell works efficiently and offers great opportunities. Generally the students get placed even before the placement drive. The students get exposure here. The college has overall good placement.
 

Hostel Rating
HNLU Raipur has separate girls and boys hostel. These have separate blocks for 1st years. It has good mess facility. It has paid laundry facility too. We have great areas for outdoor sports, indoor sports and gym too.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus has separate hostels for boys and girls. It has 2 academic blocks, cricket ground, basket ball courts, and football ground. It has a utility centre where we get things of basic needs and has a small cafe too. It has a beautiful lakeside view to chill at. The girls and boys mess are separate in the hostel itself. it has a canteen too.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is vibrant with a lot of sports, cultural and academic events around the year. The cultural committee is functional throughout the year and makes sure to organise events in the campus. We have moot events also. Regular conferences and other extracurricular activities are organised throughout the year. The college even sends its students internationally for moots and conferences.

I was allotted Hidayatullah National Law University, which had got the tag of "Best Upcoming NLU" that year. I was excited and eager to become a part of this university.
