My overall experience in the Dyal Singh was just amazing. Primarily, the location of this college is just near the JLN metro station gate, so you don’t have to worry about taking E-Rickshaws. Secondly, this college is known to have the largest campus among the South campus colleges. The faculty, staffs and overall curriculum of this college is co-operating. Talking specifically about the Economics (Hons.) department, organizes Econclave as a flagship event. Several societies come up with several events and competitions related to painting, photography, music, etc. As per my opinion the Dyal Singh College is on rise among the South campus colleges. Personally, I preferred this college over the Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma (ARSD).

I did Economic (Hons.) from the Dyal Singh College, University of Delhi. This course is a bit competitive and among the top courses of the Delhi University. Econometrics and Statistics are completely numerical based while Microeconomics and Macroeconomics has a bit of theory plus numerical bases. Therefore, Mathematics and Problem-Solving skills is must if one is going for Economics (Hons.). When I entered this college, it was Merit based with the cutoff more than 90% in 12th boards. But now it's based on CUET. One must have Mathematics in their 12th standard if you want to opt for Economics (Hons.).

Overall, the faculty is amazing. Most of the professors put in their best efforts to make you understand the material, but with exception, a few of them are a bit negligent at times. You can consider the college to have a good faculty especially for B.Com and Economics. As I mentioned earlier, I prefer this college over ARSD. The journey is totally worth it.

There is a placement cell in this college under the guidance of the best faculty which helps to provide decent job or internship opportunities to the students especially of B.Com (Hons.) and Economics (Hons.).

The Dyal Singh College has the largest campus among the South campus colleges, with a newly built evening block. The college has good classrooms with proper ventilation, an auditorium, centralized AC library, a canteen and easily approachable offices. The college has an area to have your meal, a basketball court and a separate beautiful rose garden. Overall, this college has a well-designed infrastructure that is very close to the JLN metro station Gate No.5.

I had my best college life experience. The Dyal Singh college has several societies. Some top societies are Enactus, D-Street, Finanza, etc. On regular basis these societies come up with several fun activities. The college crowd is very decent. We can easily access the back market for any requirement. There is no particular college fest in this college but something or the other keeps on taking place in the college premises.
