In this college, be prepared meet the most wholesome and fun group of people in your life. But also be wary of judgmental people disguised as "friends". This college has so much to offer in terms of academics, societies, fests, etc. The teachers are very helpful and you can always reach out to them in case of any queries. Seniors are also very nice and you will end up making some of your closest friendships with them.

I am a B.Com (Hons.) student and I got in admission through CUET. The cutoffs for my course were quite high, around 750/800. This is one of those few courses in JMC where you get an option to do an internship every semester instead of going for an elective course. I must say, the competition is quite tough and all of my classmates have very good scores throughout school. So if you think scoring a high CGPA is going to be a differentiating factor, you are deeply mistaken. But nothing to be scared about because you can easily rise above the competition by upskilling yourself and joining the right societies. The Commerce department is known to be very chill, but make sure to maintain a decent percentage of attendance and you are good to go.

The Commerce department faculty is usually very chill. Just make sure to submit all your assignments on time and give at least two internals per semester for every subject. Ensure the teacher recognizes your face and you will get a good score in internals. Almost all teachers teach very well and you will understand everything as long as you pay attention in class. Make sure to also crack jokes with them and have fun as they will respond with the same energy!

Yes, there is a decent placement cell in JMC. We don't have many good internship opportunities but occasionally companies like Deloitte and Genpact come to recruit interns. On the other hand, when we talk about placements, they are quite good. All companies from Godrej to BCG to the Big four come for placements and they hire a decent amount of students with packages going as high as 20 LPA.

We do not have hostel facilities in JMC.

When we talk about JMC's infrastructure, it is really just top notch among all other DU colleges or rather among all colleges in Delhi. You will see plenty of beautiful gardens spread across the entire campus. The campus itself is very grand. We have a decent canteen with good food, a bookstore, a printing shop, a lavish auditorium and many more.

We have the best crowd and fests in JMC. Most of the people you will meet here are quite nice and helpful. We have a lot of competitions held by different societies that you can participate in, such as dance performances. The cultural societies are top notch and win almost all competitions. JMC takes pride in its societies and crowd, you will learn so much by the time you pass out.
