Overall Rating
Shri Shikshayatan College is one of the renowned colleges in Kolkata affiliated with University of Calcutta. The environment of this college is quite disciplined and safe. The education provided here is top notch and always updated. Professors are very supportive and are always ready to guide from the day one to the day before exams. All classrooms have mic and projectors.
 

Academics Rating
I opted for Bachelors of Business Administration (Honor) course. My overall experience till now is great. In 2022, admission was based on 12th marks and the cutoff went up to 89%-90%. I opted for this course because I want to pursue MBA in future so BBA was the best option for me for graduation level.
 

Faculty Rating
The Faculties are very supportive and are highly qualified. They are always there to help us in our academics as well as encourage us for extra-curricular activities. Faculties are always there to guide us from the day one of semester to the day before exams. Professors are always on time and classes are held regularly.
 

Placement Rating
Summer internships are provided in the month of May-June. I have heard from my seniors that the companies like KPMG, Deloitte, Airtel, PwC, HDFC Bank, and more visits for placement in the 6th semester and students are selected based on the interviews conducted.
 

Hostel Rating
No, We don't have residential facilities in the college. But hostels and pgs are available near the college or at some walking distance from the college. Overall, it's really a great experience as we learn to adapt to a totally different environment with new people. You can opt for hostels according to your preference, with food or without food, AC or Non-AC, and furnished or unfurnished. The rent is charged accordingly.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is top notch with well equipped classroom and clean campus. All classrooms have air conditioning facilities. The college also has a library, canteen, gym, swimming pool, basket ball ground, and a common room. The common room and canteen is the best place to relax during the break between the classes.
 

Campus Rating
The college is very strict. It is also known for upholding cultures, morals and principles. Every college has its pros and cons but Shikshayatan has many pros and less cons. 75% attendance is mandatory. Wi-Fi is also available in the college. You can access to library any time during the college hours. The college has a proper studying environment.

    SSC was always the top priority for me because of its image that it gives quality education and provides the environment every student deserves. My experience so far has been great. I thought I was inactive in my 1st two years because the only thing I would do was go to college and come straight back home.     Shri Shikshayatan College is a women's college where thousands of girls come to study every year. It is affiliated under the University of Calcutta.
