GCCBA- The Place where Success Meets Students

Overall Rating
This is a pretty good college but overhyped. Some of the teachers during my time were really good and we got to learn a lot from them. The college involves several of its students throughout the year to participate in non-academic and extracurricular activities. I have always wanted to go to this college as it is the best Commerce college in Kolkata.
 

Academics Rating
B.Com (Hons.) and M.Com are the most profound courses in this college. Students securing a minimum of 93% in 12th boards can go here. Admissions are based on the Merit lists that vary every year. If you want to enjoy an average education with a low cost, then this is the right place to do so.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties at my time were good. They are really helpful and you can speak about any problem to them, regardless of it being academic or non academic issues. They always think about the betterment of their students and the institution. The teaching styles vary from teacher to teacher, but their teaching grabs the attention of the students.
 

Placement Rating
The placement cell is there but it is not so helpful. One can get many internship opportunities but not a proper job.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is a really big one, having a game room where carom is played along with other games. Common rooms for both boys and girls are there. The classrooms are also very big and can accommodate more than 50 students. The corridors are long and there is a library in the campus too.
 

Campus Rating
Almost 600 people can be enrolled in a single batch of B.Com (Hons.). The overall campus is well maintained. Fests happen once a year for two days, where a lot of activities happen. Students can participate in various inter-college competitions and win prizes. Apart from that, Holi is celebrated in the campus itself.

    Goenka is a brand name; this has been rumored in all over the Kolkata. But the truth is completely opposite it has nothing special about it and the placements are not good. College premises and campus is just too small. Like the campus can't even occupy 200 students at once. Though the classrooms are quite big and occupy the number of students allotted to that class.
