The Whole Review of Tezpur University

Overall Rating
This is the Assam's Central University, Tezpur University. I belong to Bihar so it was very tough to survive there but after 2-3 months it was amazing there. Here very affordable courses are available. There is very strict guarding by the police all over the University day and night which makes a safe environment for the students. The people are good here.
 

Academics Rating
My course is B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. Very core branch. To get enrolled in this university, there are two ways: 1. JEE Mains 2. TUEE (College Entrance Exam) Talking about eligibility you need to have a minimum of 60% in 12th standard and qualify any of the exams mentioned above. Motive for enrolling here is very simple, you will get India's one of the central university’s prestigious degree in very low cost.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is unbelievable here. This type of faculties in this college is very much interesting. One of my tutorial teachers who just finished their Ph.D from our college was amazing but he is not teaching us now as he got his joining letter from the best research college in India, IISc Bangalore.
 

Placement Rating
Now the placements are very good in EE & ECE having median package 12-15 lakh. The CSE department has great placements.
 

Hostel Rating
Talking about hostel, TU has Asia’s 2nd largest hostel which has accommodation capacity of 600+ students. Food facilities are not up to the mark.
 

Infrastructure Rating
TU has great infrastructure. Great Library "The Central Library" which is control by IIT Kharagpur. Already too much courses are taught in the college. Every branch has a separate building along with a common building "Dean's Building". Cafe’s, restaurant, lake side sitting area, etc. are also available in the college.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life is very amazing. As this is a university so it has too many students here. A lot of fests and events are organised in the college. Freshers and farewell are also organised here.

    The college infrastructure is decent. It is a University so there are students also from other discipline apart from engineering which create diversity. It is a Central University, and also one of the best Universities in North East India. The environment is very beautiful with trees all around.     Overall Rating
    Tezpur University is among one of top institution of the North East part of India. For B.Tech, it has 6 courses available including CSE, ECE, EE, ME, CE, and FET. My overall experience is very nice since I got admission here. In this University, 60% of total B.Tech seats are reserved for North East students.     Tezpur University is a GFTI situated in the Nappam village of Tezpur. Admissions are done through the JEE Mains and the north-east quota. The reservation percentage is 60% for the north-eastern Indians and 40% for the students not residing in the north-east. This university has good academics, infrastructure, management, etc. There are many courses here; from B.Sc to B.Tech, M.Sc to M.Tech, and B.Com to B.Law.     Tezpur University is very beautiful in winters and academic pressure is light, so you can spend time in honing your skills. Many professors are good at teaching. First year has a very old curriculum. Despite recent updates, it still needs further improvement. Campus life is very dynamic, active clubs and very good places to chill out.     My overall experience in this university is nice. It was established in 1994 and is a central university following AICTE guidelines. I chose this university over other state government’s colleges because the exposure we get here is very nice as compared to other colleges.
