Assam Science & Technology University is commonly known as ASTU. ASTU is a technical institute where all the students are taught about technical things as well as the human nature. They create future Engineer for sustainable future. You need to crack Assam CEE exam which is conduct by ASTU officially, in order to get an admission here. You need to score good marks for your admission. There are 7 Assam Government Engineering colleges under ASTU namely Assam Engineering College (AEC), Jorhat Engineering College ( JEC), Golaghat Engineering College (GEC), Barak Valley Engineering College (BVEC), Jorhat Institute of Science & Technology (JIST), Bineswar Brahama Engineering College (BBEC), and Dhemaji Engineering College (DEC). All the college under ASTU was good for their own technical education. As a student of ASTU I meet different students from different places of Assam. I am a student of Golaghat Engineering college (GEC) under ASTU. I'm very grateful to be a part of this institute.

I'm from Golaghat Engineering College (GEC), I’m very grateful as a part of this institute. GEC established in 2018. It was located at Bogorijang area near police reserve Pulibor Tiniali. It was 3km away from town. As I mentioned students are from various places come here so the train and bus facility are also available near college to go home. It is a good institute for technical education. There 3 main core are available for B.Tech namely Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering department. The admission process of this institute is through Assam CEE Entrance Examination conducted by ASTU. The education system of this college is too good.

The faculty members of GEC were too friendly in nature. As a student of this college I'm very happy as a part of this institute. They teach students technical knowledge as well as human behavior to maintain a good environment and make an engineer for future. It was a good experience.

There two hostels are available. One is for boys and another was for girls. I'm not a hosteller so I don't know much about the hostel.

The special thing about our college was "our college infrastructure”. It was the best campus and infrastructure I have ever seen. When students enter the college campus they feel very comfortable with beautiful green scenery. The sunset point was too beautiful. Different plants and flowers are growing in the campus. The campus was clean around. It maintains good environment and provide fresh air. Infrastructure was too much good.

Campus of the college was very large. And it has a green environment. All the departments are in one campus. Campus life for a student is very excitement and amazing. This college helps students in making a bright career.
