St. Xavier's College Jaipur: Academics and Campus Life

St. Xavier's College, Jaipur is a Christian College known for its great infrastructure, highly educated teachers, eco-friendly environment, and cleanliness. The College is affiliated with Rajasthan University and follows its syllabus, rules, and regulations. It is accredited by NAAC as A+. College is moderately friendly in means of fee and expense. The Department of English provides four subjects in English Literature with a choice of one subsidiary subject as well, such as Public Administration, Economics, History, Psychology, and Political Science. The course specifically deals with poetry, drama, and novels of 18th and 19th century. The admission process includes form submission, campus visit, and payment of registration fee. To enroll in this specific course, the student must have passed the higher secondary with at least 60%. This course is beneficial for those who see their carrier in writing and aspires to become writers & novelists.

The faculty of St. Xavier's College, Jaipur includes highly educated teachers holding degrees from the best universities. They are skilled with Computer, Data Handling, and in English language. Teachers are well-dressed and well- behaved in every aspect. The teacher student bonding is pretty good. Students do not hesitate to share their opinions or any kind of problem as the teachers are supportive. College has therapists to deal with any kind of mental health issues that the student may face.

Placement is the main element to which a student really looks forward to. Even though the management claims to provide placements to every department of the college, in reality only the departments of B.Com and BBA are given this opportunity. Students of other departments are only left with their degrees and no placements as such. So, placements need to be improved further.

College has hostel facilities only for girls. Hostel rooms are sharing and the mess food tastes average.

The college campus has huge buildings with different blocks and floors for different departments. It is surrounded with greenery and big grounds for football & cricket. Basketball court is also present. The basic facilities such as library, labs, and lounges are available with other amenities such as open gym, indoor games area, and a cafeteria.

The campus life is overall very great, engaging, and attractive in many ways. Talking about the crowd, the students here are very competitive in nature. Student council of the college is a dignitary body and every year elections are held for the posts such as president, vice- presidents, general secretaries & joint secretaries. St. Xavier's College, Jaipur is known for creating best events, The biggest fest of the college is called ‘ZEST’. Zest is the most hyped annual fest as it includes concerts of great singers. It also has events like dance & singing battles, open mics, etc. Along with ‘Zest’ there are other departmental fests also such as ‘Synergy’, ‘Inyouth’, EXV, and more. The college has numerous clubs. These clubs are famous in other colleges as well because of their constant win at inter college competitions.
