My college review - Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology

Overall Rating
If I have to give an honest review out of a 5, I would give it a 3. Firstly if I speak about the infrastructure of the college, it’s decent, it’s built around 1998. Speaking about the faculty, most of the faculty has Ph.D as their highest qualification, but teaching wise I will not give them full marks. For campus culture and other co- curricular activities too I would give a solid 3 out of 5.
 

Academics Rating
Students can get an admission into this college through 3 ways, one of the method is by clearing the State Engineering Entrance Test, the second way is through JEE Main score which is called b-category. Another method is through paying donation to the college. A lot of courses are offered in the college. The motive for choosing a specific course should be completely dependent on the student's passion.
 

Faculty Rating
Most of the faculty is Ph.D holder. When it comes to teaching the old subjects they are well versed in them, but the industry has moved on from the old tech. and when it comes to emerging technologies, the faculty is in little back foot.
 

Placement Rating
There are a lot of companies that visit the campus every year. Yes, there is a separate training and placement cell in the college.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, residential facilities are offered by the institute. The hostel is around 1 km away from the institute. The hostel life and facilities are decent.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college is pretty old. It was built around 1998. Even then, the college infrastructure is very decent. There are 5 blocks in the campus and they are expanding them as well. Each block hosts an engineering department like metallurgy block, civil block, and electrical block. Also, there is a floor dedicated to library.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is decent. There are a lot of clubs, and students actively take part in all these clubs. College fest is also conducted every year. The college also focuses on sports activities. Every year sports competitions are also conducted batch wise. If I can give a rating for the college life, it would be 3 out of 5.

    MGIT is about 30 acres of land and provides with great experience to study. There are good grounds, classrooms, and other facilities. There are fest competitions held every year and good clubs in all aspects are present. But the canteen and library in this college is very small as compared to other colleges.     Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology is an autonomous college and this college has the best experienced faculties. Placements in this college are done and the students are given best packages.     It was the best decision to choose this college as this institute comes under the top 10 colleges in my state. I was interested in pursuing Electronics and Communication Engineering branch and I would recommend that anyone who is interested in learning engineering rather than just getting a degree must join Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology....     The lush green campus of MGIT is present over 30 acres of landscape which includes 1 large cricket ground, basketball and volley ball courts, and a retreat. It also has lots of parking areas. It is spread over 5 blocks. The calmness and pleasant nature are the main attractions of the campus. The infrastructure is a good reason to choose this campus.
