St Gonsalo Garcia College BMS Review By Vaz Nikita

The first and main reason to go here is that this college has a very big campus. It’s filled with plants and trees, which gives a very pleasant vibe. Here, sports and the showcase of talents are encouraged at a very high level. This college even has an NCC unit; this was one of my reasons to join this college.

I had decided over a long time that I want to do BMS. This course can be very beneficial for a Commerce student who is confused about what to do or study. It has a blend of every subject in the first year. Then you can take the decision of which specialization to choose; Marketing, HR or Finance. The entry requirements are just that you have a relevant background and your percentage comes under the cut offs of this college. I would only say this, if you are confused about what to do further, then BMS is the perfect choice.

The faculty members are quite friendly. Their teaching patterns are a mixture of both practical and book knowledge. They teach us through slide shows, personal experiences, live examples and everything possible. They make sure that the base of the subject is understood instead of just studying and studying with no knowledge gain.

Yes, we do have a placement cell but I didn't opt for it. So, I do not have much idea about it.

The campus is large with a dedicated basketball court, a large ground for football, a gymkhana, a place for archery, a beautiful canteen, an obstacle course for the NCC students and a large area to just enjoy the nature. There are two different buildings, having a separate building dedicated to the self-finance section. Apart from these, there is an air conditioned auditorium, a library, computer lab and a study room for students who are attempting to give the government exams.

This college has a financial fest for the self-finance course students. The planning of this fest is fun. It’s campaigning and marketing makes every student feel important in their roles. Sports week is one of the greatest events that take place, since all the students wait the whole year for this week. Apart from these, we have a Bollywood day, fashion show, creative days, etc.
