I passed out from a school under WBHSC board with 76.8% marks. There was no option except entrance exam to get a good college. I started looking at colleges that take entrance exam then found RKMVCC. I went through the entrance exam process and got chance to get admission in RKMVCC with merit rank 9. After 6 months in VC College, I realised it was the best decision for me to choose this college. If you are really interested in Research and Education field you must consider RKMVCC as a primary choice. It is an Autonomous college with NIRF ranking 8th in India and NAAC “A++” accreditation (3.8 CGPA out of 4). It is a college with potential experience and a multidisciplinary research center. It is one of the primary choices for research enthusiasts.

College offers B.Sc, M.Sc, and PhD programs. PhD in department of Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics are offered. With seven fundamental science departments RKMVCC has an excellence in entrance exams like JAM, JEST, TIFR, and JECA. Students of VC don’t need internal tuitions for their studies. Teachers are friendly and kind. College has a central library and departmental libraries.

Most of the faculties have PhD degree and some are post doctorate. Some professors have been recognised by UNICEF for their teaching and research skills. Teacher student ratio is 1:16 that is good enough I think. Teachers solve doubts in class and even after class. Sometimes even after college time also. They push students for internships and research field.

College doesn't have on campus placement but students are skilled enough to get job outside campus. Students of CS department are working at Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, etc. Other than that students prefer higher studies.

There is no hostel in the campus. There is a hostel for RKM students but that is at Belgharia (4km away). Students have to give an exam to get the hostel facility. Other than that there are mess and PG available in the whole Khardha area, so food and lodging is not a problem.

College has three buildings: one main building, one building for CS, Mathematics department & library, and another for canteen. College has 3 AC Seminar halls and one hall for yoga practice. It has extraordinary lab facilities. Two attractions of the college are Cancer Research Centre & Tissue Culture Lab at department of Botany. Other than that CS and Zoology departments have high performance computers. Microbiology department has -80°C refrigeration and many other. All departments have good lab infrastructure.

College has a rich cultural in classical art forms. Classical music and tabla are regularly being cultured under the supervision of vice principal. All 1st year students have to practice yoga and meditation. There are not many cultural fests but there are many seminars (30+ a year) for first year. There is an astrological society. Poster presentations competition and tech fest are common in VC College.
