The academics of the institute are very good. The courses are designed according to the current industry standards though exams are bit tougher than other IITs. The campus is good but has not much greenery also it is very far from the city. The clubs and the student’s activities are not very well but still there are enough events to enjoy within the campus. The hostels are good but the mess food is bad. There is a very good student teacher interaction. One can easily approach any professor to work under them and learn many skills.

The electrical engineering course here at IITI is much oriented toward electronics. We learn digital design and analog circuits in second year and microprocessor and VLSI design in third year which is very good thing as electronic sector is growing nowadays due to hardware accelerator application in artificial intelligent. The lab activities are not much useful as at times we have to deal with faulty instruments. For entering the college you have to qualify JEE MAINS and secure at least 3500 rank if you belong to general category in JEE advance. My main motive to join the college is my passion for electronics and IoT.

There is a descent number of faculty in the college. There are 28 professors in electrical department having expertise in a wide range of domain .They are generally Ph.D scholars from foreign universities mostly from NTU Singapore. They have good connection in industry and research institutes. The teaching skills vary from bad to very good. I am personally very disappointed with the math faculty as they do not teaches the way Math should be taught. Some faculties are really good and put effort to teach the students.

Yes we have a placement cell in the institute. It does all the outreach work like bringing the companies, mentoring the students and organising the placements. There is enough opportunity for every student to secure good placements. The average package for EE branch is about 26 LPA with 96 percent of student placed. There are enough core and noncore opportunities for the students.

It is a fully residential IIT. We get a single occupancy rooms. We have five hostels in which students reside according to their enrollment year. We get AC rooms from third year. Also there is a common room where we can do fun and group studies. The common area has 2 couches and one table with proper lighting. Every hostel is provided with a badminton court and few indoor games and gym facility on the ground floor. There is no restriction for in and out time in the hostels.

There is a lecture hall complex named textile where classes run. Also there is a Vikramshila seminar hall complex for seminars and all branch classes. There is a 3000 seater Nalanda auditorium equipped with world class facilities for various kinds of events like e summit and TEDx. The labs and faculty offices are situated in Pod building. There are five pod building. Nearby there is a learning resource center which is the library and the free study zone. It is equipped with almost 45000+ books and e-journals. There is a separate building for mess. There is one indoor sports complex and one cricket and football ground. The sports facilities are not in good condition.

The campus life is good. There is not too much crowd. There are 3 kinds of clubs namely cultural, technical and sports. They organise different type of activities and a common fest within a year. The annual techno cultural fest of the college is fluxus which is held in the month of March. There are enough opportunities to get good projects and building skills in clubs.
