College Review on the Central Institute of Technology

Overall Rating
C.I.T. is one of the most prestigious colleges in the North-East India. The most beautiful and wonderful library is present in this college. The campus is better than other government colleges of Assam. I got into this college through the JEE Main exam. As it was near my home and has a good teaching faculty, I chose this collage for pursuing my B.Tech.
 

Academics Rating
The core courses are Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Computer Science; other courses are Instrumentation and Control System as well as Food Technology. The one who has secured a higher rank in the JEE mains and C.I.T. entrance test can get selected in this college. Students from various states of India come to study in this college.
 

Faculty Rating
The overall faculty members are good in C.I.T., one can approach them easily. They help us outside or inside the classroom. The labs and practical rooms are great. The papers were set by the Guwahati University at the time I was studying. Banarjee Sir is so helpful. Jita Saha Sir and Kaushik Sharma Sir all of them are so good in teaching. Kaushik Sharma Sir was my guide at that time. All the teachers have completed and done their B.Tech and M.Tech from IIT.
 

Placement Rating
The placement in C.I.T. is not good because of less communication and disturbance in transport. Many companies don't come due to not much availability of transportation. As there is no airport in Kokrajhar.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, I’ve stayed in the hostel. The hostel in this college is so discipline and clean. I love the infrastructure of the hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of C.I.T. is good. It has a peaceful environment. The classrooms are well designed and clean. The main building contains most of the departments connecting to each other. The campus had 3 buildings at the time I was studying. The lab rooms are good and have a great infrastructure too.
 

Campus Rating
The most important thing for a UG student is the college campus where they can roam around. The college campus contains girl’s and boy’s hostels, along with a hospital and the teacher’s quarter. The campus is more like a peaceful park, where you can go for jogging, morning walks and cycle.

    Since this is a government institute and everyone is always fascinated to study in a government college. I too wanted it study in it. The infrastructure of this college is great. The faculty is helpful and supportive as well. Placements are quite good in CSE and Civil Engineering. Classes are held regularly and the hostel facility is also great. The fees structure is very less, Rs. 30,000- 50,000 per semester including the hostel fees, academic fees and mess fees. Overall, the college is awesome... Read Full Review

    My overall experience in CITK till now has been great if I'm being honest. I have always wanted to be an engineer so when I got to know about CITKEE I sat in the exam and luckily got my admission. I got to know that civil branch is the best in this college so I opted for Civil Engineering particularly. Many colleges have the problem of ragging going on their campus but I have never encountered such practices or never heard of it till now. The faculties here are top most and cheerful....
