Review of a student on Institute of Medical Sciences

Overall Rating
This is an old institution with experienced faculties and world class facilities. I chose this institution for my personal interest in the field of medicine and I feel that no other institution can serve the purpose. Everyone should choose this institution if they manage to get into it because getting into this institution is kind of tough because of the competitive environment of the place as it resides in the top 10 institutions in India and hold under 100 place throughout the globe.
 

Academics Rating
I am doing dentistry in this institution. The course name is Bachelor of Dental Sciences. Entry requirement will be qualifying NEET UG. Cut off to get into the institute would be more than 600 / 720 by the ongoing trend in NEET UG. My motive was to serve people in the field of medicine.
 

Faculty Rating
Highly experienced faculties coming from around the world will help you achieve your purpose of being a good dentist altogether. They are friendly and helpful in every aspect possible. There will in total 9 subjects which will be dealt throughout your curriculum and for each subject there will a plenty of faculties who will teach you. The Students to teacher ratio is about 5:1.
 

Placement Rating
No as we are in a medical institution, we don’t have a placement cell. We do have a mandatory paid internship that is included into the curriculum.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is not up to my expectations but being a central govt and an old institution, with little to no fees at all, I can’t ask more.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is world class as the government gives a lot of money to renovate it time to time. We have 5 floors in our college and they made a separate building / block for the dental stuffs with all the 9 departments in it. With their own set of faculties. Classrooms have an inbuilt air conditioning system.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is awesome as we have huge campus of more than 1000 acre of land with lush green environments with a proper security intact. So we have almost everything you search for in a campus. Starting from canteens to mess to swimming pools to playgrounds to clubs etc. We have a grand fest every year and you are really going to live the fest too because well known celebrities come each year to entertain us.
