AIIMS Rishikesh : A hidden gem

Overall Rating
My overall experience in this college has been peaceful, full of enjoyment and amazing moments. The mess food served is great, having a lot of variety. Also, they can change the menu if enough people vote for so. The faculties are cooperative, if you need help in doing some research.
 

Academics Rating
In the general category, your rank needs to around 1000 to get into this college for the MBBS course. The college provides AYUSH and nursing facilities as well. I got admission based on my rank. In the starting I wasn’t so sure about this college, but there is a reason why I said it’s a hidden gem in the title. AIIMS is the best!
 

Faculty Rating
This college has one of the best faculties. The student and teacher ratio 20:1, so it’s easier to ask someone for help than meet the HOD without any prior notice. They have gotten their degrees from top institutes as well as a lot of papers published in top journals. Their emphasis on UG research is really nice. The teachers act as mentors for the students and always help out at times of need.
 

Placement Rating
No, they don’t have placements. After completion, you can either start your practice or give the PG exams and become more specialized in your field.
 

Hostel Rating
During the first year, the hostel conditions weren’t so good. You live in a room made for one person with a roommate; it gets really claustrophobic over time. In the middle of the hostel there are 2 badminton courts, all equipments such as rackets are provided. The hostel food is actually the best in any college I have heard so far. You can even order over the counter as well.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is designed as 3 connected diamond shaped buildings. Every floor has 2 departments with sufficient space given to both. There is one lecture hall per floor, which is quite big with good air conditioning facilities. Sometimes the lecture hall used for events and movie nights as well.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is the best part about going to this college; you can never feel alone during these 5 years. A lot of club events keep happening weekly that will keep you busy. We have a college fest held every year, which is very fun. If you don’t find a club suited for you, then you can easily create one for yourself if enough people are interested in it.

    As the name says, it is a prestigious medical college in the India. It has a separate building of Nursing that is called CENER (Centre of Excellence in Nursing Education and Research). I gave the AIIMS B.Sc Nursing Entrance Exam in 2022 and got an AIR of 1040 to get admission here. As I heard a lot about the campus and academics here, and these are almost all true.     The most fascinating thing about AIIMS Rishikesh is its campus and the experienced faculty. I prefer to choose AIIMS Rishikesh over other AIIMS because it has good infrastructure, library, best faculty, fests, and extracurricular activities among all.
