Oldest Engineering College of Central India

Overall Rating
Samrat Ashok Technological Institute, Vidisha is one of the oldest Engineering colleges of central India. The college is known for its quality academic excellence in engineering and has given numerous alumni to the nation. The college provides engineering degree in various stream, in terms of academic the college has experienced faculty and wonderful campus infrastructure as well. One who has been looking for state government college at moderate rank in JEE could opt for SATI, Vidisha.
 

Academics Rating
In terms of academics, college offer B.Tech in CSE, CSE (BC), CSE (AIADS), CSE (IOT), IT, Mechanical Engineering, CIVIL, EE, EC, and EI. The admission is done through MPDTE counseling on basis of JEE score. One who's willing to pursue professional degree can join the college. The college has excellent results in terms of academics.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty comprises mixture of experienced and newly hired faculty which helps in giving knowledge in new terms along with experience. This helps in removing the age gap between the new generation and old generation and helps students in understanding things and concept in better way. The faculty is very supportive and helpful in terms of academic help.
 

Placement Rating
The placement at present is not that good but not bad as well. Students get average placement. Earlier it used to be best in terms of placement. The present condition is could be due to revival of the market.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college has vast campus of 84 acres. The college campus comprises of huge academic block, stadium, canteen, sports hall, hostel, and different labs. Just the classroom has quite old style which could be renewed. Although college has one hybrid smart classroom for some special programs and it also has a Kailash Satyarthi Hall as well.
 

Campus Rating
Vidisha is small city so you don't get much exposure here. But college comprises of each and every thing which is needed. It also supports the co-circular activities and has organizations like NCC and NSS which keeps high spirit among students. The college organises annual fest every year that is Samrat Utsav and also allows student to participate in sports competition organised at University level.

    While searching for M. Tech in IT, there were quite a few colleges in the state such as LNCT in Bhopal, SGSITS in Indore, and Madhav Institute of Technology in Gwalior. Fees and quality education were my biggest concern and therefore I did a lot of research before getting myself enrolled at SATI.
