Overall Rating
This is a government college. The area around this college is very peaceful. The college is located in a semi-village area, so it has a pollution free environment. R.K.M.G.E.C. has decent placements. I suggest that one can take admission in this college if their rank is good.
 

Academics Rating
This college has five departments; CSE, ECE, EE, ME and CE department. To take admission in this course one must qualify in the WBJEE exam with a good rank. In this college about 50% to 60% of students get placed in various companies.
 

Faculty Rating
In this college the faculty members are very helpful. They are highly qualified in their fields. Their behavior and style of teaching is very nice. I think if one listens to the lectures of the teachers, then there no need to take any extra tuition.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, in our institute there is a placement cell. About 50% of students get placed in companies like TCS, Cognizant, etc. The average package is about 3-4 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, this college provides the hostel facility. Hostels are provided for both girls and boys. For girls of 1st to 4th years get the hostel facility, whereas for the boys there two hostels for 3rd and 4th year students. There are no boy’s hostel facilities for the 1st and 2nd year students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
R.K.M.G.E.C. has 2 academic buildings, 1 administration building and 3 work shop buildings. For practical experiments there are many laboratories in the college. The classrooms are nice. There is one CCTV and projector in every classroom. Every floor has a washroom and a water filter for providing drinking water facilities. The college library has all the necessary books.
 

Campus Rating
Our college organises different types of cultural programs, fests, hackathons, codathons and seminars. Every year a Fresher’s party is organised for 1st year students. Farewell party is organised for 4th year students. Huge number of students participates in these type social programs. GDSC club, robotics centre cell, etc. are also there.

    I chose this college because this college is near from my home town and the train station is 1 km away from the college campus so there is convenience of commuting I heard before admission in this college that the education of this college is quite good so I took admission there.     Ramkrishna Mahato Government engineering college formerly known as Purulia Government Engineering College is established in 2016, so it is not much older. College campus is quite good. It is situated at Chas Road in Purulia District. The locality is very rural. College campus is good. As a new college the placements records are good. There are very friendly environment is college.
