College Review on the Kurukshetra University

Overall Rating
The Kurukshetra University is a renowned university situated in Kurukshetra. It’s an A++ University and very less universities offers Integrated M.Sc in Economics Hons. It’s a good option for students who want to go in the Economics field. The faculty is good here and being a student of the Department of Economics, I can say it is a very famous course in the university.
 

Academics Rating
The Department of Economics provides Integrated M.Sc Hons. Course in Economics (Hons.). Only a few universities provide this course and they’re mostly IITs. To be eligible one has should have Mathematics and Economics as their subjects in 12th boards. We can directly go for our Ph.D or JRF, this was my motive behind opting this course. As it’s a professional course, the seats available are less.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties here are very good in their department. There are more than 20 professors and all of them are highly experienced. They treat the students very nicely. Our Head of the Department is also very good. They teach students on the basis of recent economic theories and focus on practical teachings.
 

Placement Rating
Placements are not very common here. Students are to do internships in their 4th semester, but most of students aren’t offered any placements.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel facilities in Kurukshetra University are very good. More than 10,000 students could be accommodated in the hostels. There are no Wi-Fi facilities and the food provided is average.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the Kurukshetra University is very good but most of the departments in the university are nearly 50 years old. But now all of the departments are being renovated. The Department of Economics has been newly made, providing good classrooms, labs, offices and a library.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is average. Most of the clubs are for dancing and singing.

    Faculty members are very kind and helpful. The exams are conducted on regular basis. It is ranked 700-751 in the Asian University (Rankings 2023) and ranks 41 in the State University category. A very beautiful campus with approximately 450 acres lashed in greenery. There is a central library and also every department has their own library and students can issue books easily....     Kurukshetra University was established in 1956 as a state university in Haryana. It is the oldest and most prestigious university in the state.     The overall experience of Kurukshetra University is good. It is A plus graded university by NAAC. The university campus is very large, covering approximately 500 acres of land and is very beautiful. The teachers here are all very sweet and helpful.     Kurukshetra University is a State Government University funded by Haryana Government. It's located in Kurukshetra, Haryana. The campus area of the University is approximately 500 acres and it's very beautiful with flowers and trees everywhere. A museum Dharohar is also in the University.
