My Experience At Shyam Lal College

Overall Rating
Shyam Lal College is a good college. It is located pretty near to home that was one important factor for me. Moreover college's infrastructure is pretty good and with the induction of new building, it is only becoming better.
 

Academics Rating
The course although is not an honors course but offers great opportunities to pursue masters degree in Political Science, History or English. The college back in 2016 used to admit students based on class 12 marks. However this has now been shifted to an entrance exam for whole university. Although level of exam has been above average only.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty for certain department is below average however some are pretty knowledgeable. To be more specific history department is pretty good but political science needs significant background. Also, the bad thing is casual attitude of many teachers’ costs a lot to students as they are just for the sake of it without making any big difference.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is something once can be proud of. Especially in the year 2018 when the new building was constructed, it looked nothing less than a private university and even a lift was added. Moreover library is pretty well managed with almost all the course book. Washrooms and toilets were pretty clean too.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life overall is above average with various different clubs that have been set up for student engagement like literature, finance and science technology. Although fest was arranged once in a year but was pretty well managed and every year a popular singer was called in to add craze to it.

    If you are coming to this college with the motive of studies then it is definitely good decision. Its Commerce department is best in comparison to other departments. The college events are enjoyable. The fee structure of the college is too high. The green campus has many gardens that provide peaceful atmosphere to spend time with small animals....
