Review on IIT Kanpur

Overall Rating
IITs are very prestigious institutes for engineering in India, especially old IITs. The IIT tag itself is highly appreciated in our country. IIT Kanpur has a great record in the NIRF, ranking 4th position. The packages acquired here are great. The campus life is full of enjoyment and growth.
 

Academics Rating
B.Tech is 4 year program in IIT Kanpur like other universities. You have to clear JEE Mains and JEE Advance to get into IIT Kanpur. By completing B.Tech from here you will have a good opportunity in the corporate world. IIT Kanpur provides a great environment for startup ideas and innovation culture. The college can guide you if you have any idea for startups. The curriculum of IIT Kanpur is updated in every 10 years as a review committee makes changes to make the curriculum more relevant.
 

Faculty Rating
All faculties are qualified with Ph.D and post doctorates from recognised universities. You can clear your doubts in the class itself or visit the professor's office. They teach quite fast but you will get use to it.
 

Placement Rating
We have a student placement office, which calls companies for both placements and internships. The university has a good placement record both in domestic and international packages.
 

Hostel Rating
It has a residential campus. If required, hostels are allotted. The hostel food is good. Sport facilities are available in hostels. Air conditioned reading rooms are provided.
 

Infrastructure Rating
We have a sufficient amount of lecture halls (20), with AC facilities. We have many labs for student and a good library with all kind of books and reading arenas. The student lounge is also there for students to sit and study. Almost every building has air conditioning facilities except the hostel rooms. The department buildings are also open for students to study.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is great here. Whatever hobby you have you can find a club for that; for instance a music club, dance club, fine arts club and programming robotics club etc. There are even clubs for athletes like cricket, football and hockey. Everything is available including aquatic sports. We have 3 major festivals called Antaragni (media and culture fest), Udghosh (sports fest) and Techkriti (technology and entrepreneurship fest).
