When I was considering colleges for admission, I was very confused in which university to go for. Then I came up to know about the Allahabad University. This is one of the oldest universities in the history of India. According to my experience, it has a good environment for studies. The college has a very big campus. I chose this university because it is situated in a decent place and it has good placements. If you looking for teachers that are understanding and helpful then you should definitely go for this university.

The Bachelor's in Commerce from the Allahabad University is a general graduation degree as it does not offer any honours degree. It is a three year degree. To get enrolled in this course one has to give the entrance test conducted by the CUET. Also the student must obtain at least 55% in their 12th grade. If a student wants to have a flexible and good environment for studying, then this university is the best option.

In the Commerce Department mostly research scholars conduct the classes. Professors are mostly reserved or occupied in their Master's degree. However, if you wish to have some extra help, the research scholars and professors are helpful enough to ease your doubts and problems. The teachers and professors provide top quality education. The research scholars are also very sincere and kind. Everyone in the department has their own different style of teaching. Some tend to teach by notes and books, while others follow the practical teaching approach.

Yes, this institute does have a placement cell. It is located in the Science Department of the university. It provides different information regarding jobs and placement throughout the year. The prime companies that come for placements are TCS etc. Students that reply on the placement cell for jobs should regularly check for placements in the cell. Overall, the placement cell does an average job in providing placements to the students.

Yes, there indeed is a hostel facility in the university. It is very affordable and quite good. The Allahabad University provides cheap hostel facilities as compared to the college hostels. The hostels are quite safe and have a studious environment. They are provide full furnished rooms with a bed, cupboard, table, chair, proper water facility, proper washrooms and mess facility with meals given 3 times a day. The hostel also provides 3 step-security; on the main gate, the middle gate and the building gate with guards. The rooms and grounds in the hostel are spacious. The hostel conducts many events throughout the year that allows students to interact and grow themselves.

The campus is divided into three parts; the Commerce Department, Arts Department and Science Department. It has one of the best architectures ever existed in any educational institution. The campus is very spacious and is located in one of the posh areas of Prayagraj. The Commerce Department has a wide parking area. The Arts Department is 10 times the Commerce Department as it contains the chancellor and vice chancellor's office, examination department, RTO department and the proctor’s office etc. The Science Department has the IT cell and the placement cell. The campus has many grounds to chill and interact. It has a football field, basketball field, cricket field and a cultural hall etc.

Overall, the campus life is good but not the best. There are some disadvantages in the college such as the political environment around the university. Other than that, it is a great campus to grow yourself and gain different experiences. There are several fests that are organised throughout the year. There are some clubs in the college like the NCC club etc. This is a very good university for one to explore.
