DAV College Review

Overall Rating
I was looking for a place that offered not just academic excellence, but also a vibrant campus life and a strong sense of community. DAV college has offered all of it and I have been enjoying my life here. DAV college boasts a strong academic reputation, which was a significant factor in my decision.
 

Academics Rating
Pursuing BCA in DAV College is one of the best decisions I made so far. The teachers here are very friendly, especially in this particular department. They make sure you get all your doubts solved and cover the syllabus within the time. The enrollment is done through online counseling, which has three stages.
 

Faculty Rating
The teachers here are very friendly and make sure your syllabus is covered in time and take your doubts at any time. Most of the subjects are taught in labs and each semester has 4-5 subjects which change each semester. The exams are taken after every three months. The blend of academic rigor and a lively campus atmosphere made it the perfect choice for me.
 

Placement Rating
The placement cells not only maintain constant contact with distinguished corporations and industrial enterprises but also efficiently delineate the opportunities according to the precise strengths and attributes of the graduates and post graduates passing out of the college. Some of the companies that recruit from the campus are Godrej, Infosys, Vivo, Airtel, and Decathlon.
 

Hostel Rating
Both the boy’s hostel and girl’s hostel are provided. Life at hostel is top notch. You get to experience an actual life there. The facilities are fine. You get an ac room and a cooler room and a non cooler room. The indoor activity room is there.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The students have access to a 24 hour ATM in the college. There is a branch of nationalized bank- State Bank Of India within the campus. The college has facilities of a drycleaner and cobbler at prices more than reasonable for the convenience of students. A well stocked stationery and book shop lets students have access to stationery supplies within the premises at all working hours.
 

Campus Rating
The life of this college is beyond comparable. There is an all-time awaited fest for three days in month of February. On other days, regular and fests held by student clubs. Some of the clubs run by students are Aaghaz, Ews, and Red Cross Society campus.

    I am a B.Com student of DAV College Chandigarh and I am in my final year and this is the second best college of Chandigarh which also comes under Panjab University. This college helps us to improve our social skills and other soft skills. The bar of education is held high by the college via proper timetable and great teaching faculty. Other facilities that are offered by the college include two canteens and 3 gardens for the students. Plus it also has a safe environment for both boys and girls.... Read Full Review

    D.A.V College is considered as the second best college in Chandigarh, which is affiliated with Panjab University. It has its own vibe; students coming from all over Haryana, Himachal and children of defense personnel make this place very unique. But, this college is best for those who are more into fun than studies as it is a place where fun and social life precedence over academics.
