National Institute of Technology B.Tech Review By Amurtya Rai

I took admission in 2023 in the Electrical Engineering branch of NIT Raipur. Since, then I haven't regretted my decision of choosing this college and coming here. I am able to excel in studies due to the responsible and sincere faculty of our branch and at the same time I have been exposed to sports too and now I manage each and everything well here. Our college has life clubs and committees to gain knowledge, learn, grow and explore which is the main cause of my personality development.

Electrical Engineering is one of the toughest, exploring and innovative branches. I haven't been to core knowledge yet because I have just passed my first year but I m excited to learn and gain knowledge about it. Our faculty is very sincere regarding our academics and Electrical Engineering department has gained the title of best department 4 times in a row for its performance and it's student's engagement in excellence way.

Our faculty is filled with talented sincere and innovative minds. I have read articles about our faculty, their new innovations, researches, discoveries and much more. They are the reason our department leads every time and they equally encourage their students to not only be in academics only but also get an exposure of practical knowledge by indulging in different projects and researches or anything of their choice which makes them gain interest.

We do have a placements cell in our college. As software industry being the leading they allow all students from CSE, IT, ECE and electrical to be indulge in placement session and the talented minds of other branches our also allowed. To get a job in our core branch, is very easy if you are sincere knowledgeable and talented. The increase of EV vehicles in today's world is also a new exploring stream for the students.

Yes, we do have residential facilities. All the hostels of boys and girls are well maintained. Cleanliness is maintained on a daily basis, mess food is average to very good sometimes. Rooms are well maintained. We get a table, chair, wardrobe and bed in our hostels. Hostel admission is done on CGPI basis because NIT Raipur has limited accommodation facility. They have rooms and dorms.

Infrastructure of our Institute is well maintained and amazing. Our college campus previously belonged to GEC then it became NIT Raipur and development was done on a great scale. Classes are well maintained and have smart boards. We have badminton courts, library, canteens, and central garden being the main. Recently our college is building indoor badminton and tennis courts too.

My overall campus life is amazing. We have different fests at different times of the year keeping in mind the timings of papers. We have Aavartan-The Science fest, Shruti-The Music fest, Samar -The Sports fest, Avinya-The innovative fest, and Eclectica-The cultural fest. These fests are the main fests organised by different clubs and committees and we have numerous minor events also of other clubs or committees. We have different types of clubs for every type of student. The Technocracy Club, The Shourya Club,Sahyog club, Nrityam Club, Raaga Club, Motosports, literati, Think India, PMRC, I Cell Committee, E cell committee, Go Green Club, Sanskriti Club, Abhinay, Robotics and numerous others too. These Clubs all over organise different type of competitions, events, quizzes and much more.
