Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology B.Tech Review By Abu Zaid

The overall structure of Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology is very decent. My JEE mains score was not good for any government institutions but still I want to take CS branch. So I chose this college and the college is good till now. The campuses are not so big but you will enjoy here. And the infrastructure is also good here. You will have a very chill college life here.

The academic here is somehow pressuring but you if you cope up with regular class and doing all the homework daily then you will not get any type of pressure. Hence, the college requirement for admission to score decent marks in JEE mains and 75% above in your 12 board’s exam. So the students were somehow good enough to keep up with the academic.

The faculty at our college is very good. Most of them are graduates from an IIT. So they are very experienced and their teaching way is also very good. They were very supportive and they help you in every aspect of your life. Some of the faculty was not so good but still overall we can say the faculty at the college is good. Every day we have labs of our different subjects and 2-3 faculties were always present there to teach and help us.

The placement this year held was the 86% of the total student who were allowed to sit in the placement. The total 2200 offers were made from the different companies. The total number of students get places is around 700 out of 900 students. The average package stand for 4.5 lakh per annum and the median package stand for 4 lakh per annum. The highest package goes to a CSE core student which is 44 lakh per annum.

The hostels life in the college is not so good. There are two options available for hostel bedding. First is 3-4 bedding and second are 2 bedded rooms. The 2 bedded rooms were very small. They are air conditioned but there will be some shortage of space for you. 4 bedded rooms usually come without air conditioning. The size of 4 bedded room is moderate you can easily be there. The price for 4 bedded rooms was 1.25 lakh per year and 2 bedded rooms goes to 1.5 lakh per year. The hostel mess is also not good. So my overall suggestion is to not take hostel in college campus.

As the college was made in 2000 so the infrastructure of the college is quite aesthetic. There were 6-7 academic blocks for different courses and students. The field and the blocks were made so good that it looks very aesthetic for all. The path for coming in to the college hostel also have water fall which also makes it look so cool. So the overall infrastructure of the college is quite good.

The campus life at the college is very chill. You have to make 60 % of attendance for able to appear in the end semester exams. There was lots of event and fest organised every year. Roughly monthly 2-3 events were organised by some of the club. You can participate in any club activities from the first year that helps lots of students to become socially active.
