Overall Rating
Honestly the college is a good one. The environment inside the campus is really good but the campus is not big enough. There is only one ground for the college which is enough as many colleges don't even have grounds. Meanwhile, the teachers are really committed and focus on students individually. The teachers also try to communicate and help particular student. Overall, the college is good and I would recommend it if you want do some serious studies.
 

Academics Rating
There are many courses which the college offers. I'm currently studying Bachelors of Economics and have completed my first year. The option provided above didn't include the course so I had to choose BA General which is also a course offered by the college. I have my friends in this course too. The eligibility criterion for most of the courses is passing your 12th standard board. The cutoff is different every year and is pretty high for courses like statistics and economics. Many students pursue B.Com also.
 

Faculty Rating
The teachers in my course are pretty involved and teach every detail of the subject with precision. They connect with us individually and get in touch with us outside the college too. You are also given the opportunity to sit and talk with your teachers personally whenever you want. Overall, the teachers are very friendly and very straight forward in helping the students.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a placement cell in our college. But, I have little knowledge about it as I have just completed my first year and haven't really tried to know about it.
 

Hostel Rating
There is a hostel. First year students will be given admission on the basis of their 12th boards marks (college marks for other years will be considered). They provide 3 main meals (lunch, dinner, and breakfast/ Tiffin). Day scholars are provided with brunch, Tiffin, and dinner while morning students are provided lunch, Tiffin and dinner. Evening students are provided with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are 3 seater, 2 seater and 1 seater rooms.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college has one main building, a side wing and a ground. The college also has an auditorium, meeting rooms, and halls within the main building. The classrooms are quite big and accommodates minimum of 80 students. It has option for both traditional and modern way of teaching.
 

Campus Rating
The college is always crowded and has infinite number of clubs namely fine arts society, dance society, etc. Every club hosts its own main event which is celebrated by other clubs. The college has its own fest called 'Xavotsav' held over 3 days including fashion walks, dance competition, band, etc. Many renowned artists are also invited for the final event. Singers like Silpa Rao and bands like 'When Chai Met Toast' came over in the' Xavotsav 2024 '.

    St. Xavier's College, Kolkata, is an institution with a NAAC ranking of A++. It is ranked 5 in the Nation by NIRF. It is a very good place to study academic courses like BA, B.Sc and B.Com. The course is constantly updated over the years to enable students to be equipped with recent research and knowledge.     St. Xavier's College, Kolkata is an autonomous college and one of the most prestigious colleges of India. It is also famous in abroad.     It's been a great journey since I joined St. Xavier's College, Kolkata.
