Overall Rating
I've always wanted to go to BHU for studying and being from Varanasi it was mine and my family’s wish. In my knowledge BHU is one of the best colleges for the course of BA as no other college provides this much good faculties and facilities for us (Except DU).
 

Academics Rating
I studied Bachelors of Arts in ancient Indian History Culture and Archeology. Now it is required to give CUET paper for entry in BHU, but during my times it was just university specific exam. Eligibility is usually 12th pass for an undergraduate course.
 

Faculty Rating
Teachers are really good and they have ample knowledge about the subject they are teaching. They are all usually PG holders of the subject they are teaching. They really help you in finding books, materials, etc. for studying. If you don't know Hindi and can't study in it then please reconsider your decision to come to this college as usually the teachers talk and teach in Hindi.
 

Placement Rating
No placements at all.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostels are really nice and allotted based on the merit, distance, and category factors. The mess and the food are also good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
BHU is known for its beautiful infrastructure. Everything is available here. Parks, mandirs, canteens, library, computer centre, etc. Bus services are provided here for free for campus students. Hospitals are also available so no worries. Free health center for students or at a very minimal rate for us.
 

Campus Rating
The fests are organised often. Every other month you'll hear about IIT having a fest or any other faculty having it and you can join it. You'll have college wise fresher’s and goodbye farewell. You'll have a grand convocation and you will always look forward for it.

    As per IAS (Indian Agricultural Science), BHU is the 2nd NIRF ranking in India and 1st Agricultural university in India. Therefore, as I have to study from a best agricultural university and it is the best option. It has a yearly fee of 10000 INR only and hostel yearly fee of 5000 INR, providing a scholarship of 3000 INR per month to every student. As I am belonging to middle class, it is a best option....     As we all are aware that Banaras Hindu University is globally recognized university and one the prestigious university in India. The most important thing in making it so is the Academics part. As a student of Commerce department in BHU, I can tell you about my department only.     The great legacy of the university known as Banaras Hindu University. It is one of the best University in Asia and the largest residential too. My college was Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) and I chose it due to the fact that it had an excellent reputation and it had one of the most important things called a PG quota which helps a lot in future PG exams as well....
