I completed my 1 year at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology. It is a beautiful lush green campus of 250 acres. My over all experience was decent. I wanted to study in a prestigious institution. As it is a national institute of technology and I was getting a good branch (electronics and communication) I chose to join this institute. We had many events in college like cultural fests, tech fests, cricket tournaments, and festival celebrations, inter branch sport tournaments and many more. We can explore many different things in campus. The big concern of this college is it doesn't have an auditorium. It is one and only veg NIT in INDIA. So it is somewhat difficult to adjust for non vegetarians. Academics in this college are good. Students have good sport opportunities. Placements are also decent. Computer science has very good placements average salary is about 15LPA, electronics and communication is after computer science average salary of electronics and communication is 13LPA. So if you are someone who are interested in exploring different things in college and want good exposure along with decent placements, You can choose Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology.

I am pursuing my Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication. It is a four year course. In my first year we had 3 core subjects. We did not have subjects of mechanical and civil branches, which make this curriculum more relevant and suitable to my course. It is related to making and design of chip (processors and graphic cards). To get into electronics and communication, student should have cleared 12th and should have got 98 percentile (general, EWS, OBC-NCL) in JEE MAINS. I personally wanted to take computer science, and my second preference is electronics and communication. If anyone is interested in processors and stuff can prefer electronics and communication.

As far as my experience my department's faculty is good. Every faculty member has completed their masters and Ph.D in their respective field. They are well experienced and have good knowledge about the subject. Their way of teaching is also decent, the content is delivered in such a manner that student who are attentive in class can grasp and understand comfortably. Few of the faculty members are very interactive. But some of them fail in conveying the content to students even though they have good knowledge.

Infrastructure of college is very good. Every department has its own academic block which is well constructed. Class rooms are spacious and large; labs are well equipped, main attraction of this college is library, which is outstanding. Our campus has 10 hostels; it is one of the NIT which has very good hostels. But first year boy's hostel is not that good, it should be remodeled. Bank, general store, post office will be available inside the campus. Canteen is also available in campus which is student friendly in terms of prices. Gym is well equipped and good. Stationery shop is also available in campus.

In my opinion campus life of this college is the very good. Students are very interactive, talented and friendly. We have annual fest called "SPARSH" which is of 4 days; events during these 4 days are singing night, dancing night, DJ night, and celebrity night. Many games and sports are conducted at mornings. Students create their best memories of life during those 4 days. We also have an annual tech fest called MINDBEND. Many tech events and hackathons are conducted, prize money is also provided for winners. There will be 3-4 cricket tournaments every year. We have Malang club for dance, convex for photography, raag for music, spic macay for classical music and dance, kirdaar for drama, dhristi and tech club and many more. There will be other small fests for celebrating festivals and engagement activities are held frequently by clubs.
