My Journey of Kirori Mal College

Overall Rating
My experience of Kirori Mal College was really wonderful. I enjoyed various multifaceted exposures irrespective of my core course. The variety of societies that operate here are really helpful to develop your extracurricular activities. I choose this institution because of its fame of being topmost college for Geography Hons. In DU and along with that role of various societies were really amazing.
 

Academics Rating
Academically, this college is also very good. I enrolled in BA Hons Geography. All the faculty members are really amazing and their way of teaching made it more enjoyable especially the senior professors. To get into this course, you have to get minimum 760 marks in CUET exam if you are from general category.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties here are good. Geomorphology is taught by Khusrau Moin Sir. He is really a good teacher. He generally teaches through PPTs but also resolve the problems that arise. Practical paper is taught by Vijendra Sir, he is amazing teacher, you would really enjoy to study from him. Urban Geography by Jeetesh Sir is the best teacher that I liked.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, placement cell of Kirori Mal College is very active in its work. Every year many of the students enroll and become part of it. Every year many of the seniors get placement in various companies from this cell itself.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the college has a very beautiful hostel. I am glad that I am member of hostel. It posses very good infrastructure with single, double, and triple sharing rooms. The amazing thing about hostel is its delicious food be it veg or non-veg. The variety of food is really amazing. The total annual fee of hostel is 70,000/-.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus infrastructure is average to good. Academic block is well furnished but some part of college is not in good condition. Currently, the auditorium of college is under reconstruction which was burnt due to fire incident. The most beautiful thing is Ashoka Lawn which is really very beautiful and most of the photo shoots are generally take place there. It also posses very good Library’s infrastructure.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is very enjoyable and enthusiastic, but it depends on you that how much you enjoy it. It generally has 2000 students and generally you found them roaming here and there in society work or for class or you will see them having fun with friends. Every society has its annual fest which took place at different time period of year. The college also celebrates its annual fest.

    My overall experience at Kirorimal College, University of Delhi has been good till now. It has a diverse set of students from all streams - Commerce, Science and Arts. It has a good crowd though it is politically active. It is situated in North Campus. You can easily sign up for events happening in the nearby colleges and take part there. You'll get to interact with other people. The College’s back gate opens in Kamala Nagar. So, you can find PGs nearby. It was in my top 5 preference list.... Read Full Review
