Overall the college is very good. The infrastructure of the college is very good and is equipped with world class labs necessary for the curriculum. Wi-Fi is available all over the campus. The curriculum designed here is updated regularly and focus on both practical and theoretical studies/development of the student.

The academics of this college are also very good. The professors and the lab assistants are all highly qualified and have a vast amount of knowledge to share. For taking admission in the college one have to clear CGPET exam and secure a rank of 1000-1200 to get admission in any of the core branch of this college. The labs here in this college are world class which are all AICTE approved and all engineering branches are NBA accredited.

The faculty here is highly motivated to give their 100 percent to students studying here. All the faculties and even the lab assistants are highly educated and nearly every professor here has a doctorate degree (Ph.D). They try to teach every topic in the most fun way possible so that everyone is able to get that topic correctly. Even after the classes they are always available to students for further assistance and any kind of doubt regarding the course.

This college has a placement cell of its own which works effectively during placements time. Many companies do visit here and also recruit in good amount with a decent salary package which is around 5-6 LPA. Placement cell conducts the mock placement drill for the students of final and pre final year to prepare for placement interviews and exams. Here core companies also visit for the students from mechanical, electrical and civil branch.

Hostels of this college is not that good but average because hostel buildings are way too old and didn't renovated from quite a long time. Also the Hostel charges here are around 20000 per semester. The hostel mess is also not that great but will provide decent food to the students and also there is no free Wi-Fi facility in the hostels and only boy’s hostel is within the campus, girls hostel is around 1 km away from campus.

The infrastructure of the college is very good as it provides all the necessary this to the students the including free Wi-Fi within the campus, water dispenser, Sanitary pad dispensers and smart classrooms. The library of the BIT is also well equipped with the entire modern tech and all kinds of books, journals, magazines are available and also you can issue up to 6 books at a time for a month from the central library of the college. All the labs and computer labs are fully equipped with all the latest technology. There are 5 building in the college campus in each building there are 2-3 floors. Also separate sports complex, food court, workshops and other facilities are available in the college.

The campus Life of BIT Durg is full of challenges, enjoyment and thrills. There are many clubs in the college including Click club for the students who love photography VISTA club or co-curricular activities and ASTRO club for the students who love astronomy. NSS and NCC are also present in this college for the students. BIT also conducts annual fest named OJAS for the students and also monthly events for the entertainment, development and knowledge enhancement of the students. Many regional level sports meets are also being organised by the BIT Durg.
