Review by a BA (Hons) Humanities and Social Sciences student

Overall Rating
CIC and the course of BAHSS, I read about it when I was doing my 10th back in 2019 and got excited by the meta-college concept. The medium of admission was through DUET itself but, now it is through CUET. So, in 2022 I cleared CUET and reached the place I wanted and now it feels like home. It has a lot to give to the students, specially the DYOD (Design your own degree) model.
 

Academics Rating
The course of BAHSS (BA Hons. in Humanities and Social Sciences) has a lot to offer to the students. Firstly, the freedom; freedom to choose the course of your own choice in 2 out of the 3 Semester that the students will be doing in colleges under the meta-college concept. There are a total of three streams Communication, Counseling, and Heritage Tourism out of which one semester has to be done in the respective course, like Tourism Management for Heritage Tourism, Psychology / Applied Psychology for Counseling, and Journalism for Communication.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are well educated and have a superb pedagogy approach. There are 4 core faculties and assistant professor in BAHSS. They all are so nice and helping, if you know how to approach them.
 

Placement Rating
There is no such dedicated placement cell here at CIC. While they promote entrepreneurship and the projects that student do under the mentorships of the professors. They make a student’s liable enough to start one. Also, the projects add extra bonus points in the CV for the students that they can easily be hired by any industry. Surprising to know that many BA students are working at Tech companies across the world.
 

Hostel Rating
We don't have a personal hostel while University’s hostels are there but with limited seats.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure at CIC is the most attractive anywhere in the University of Delhi. If you are planning to not come here just because of the infrastructure then I'm sorry, it's one of your biggest mistakes. CIC is above any other college or centre in the University. We have a lot of space for the number of students we have.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life in CIC is just for 3 semesters and a bit of more for the projects and other residuary courses. This is the best time you will ever have in your life. If you are a person who gets connected to people then you are going to love it. CIC will become your Home.

    Isn’t it cool when your college promotes entrepreneurship rather than getting a job? Well, my college does so. The motivation behind starting the college is hidden in the name itself.
