Excellent college for Agriculture students

Overall Rating
First of all it is the most premium state agriculture university in West Bengal with ICAR accreditation. The most beautiful thing is the student-teacher and senior -junior relationship in this college. The college provides facilities for higher education as well as different government and private sector jobs. The clean and green campus of this college easily attracts the students.
 

Academics Rating
The essential eligibility criteria for the B.Sc. Ag. Course is 10+2 with English, Biology, Physics and Chemistry having minimum 90% marks for unreserved students. Students willing to take admission will have to take part in counseling process conducted by university’s administration. The detailed information about the information will be provided in the university website.
 

Faculty Rating
The most powerful strength of the college is the faculty members or professors who have a very deep and vast knowledge with a long experience in teaching and research activities. They guide the students in the right way so that a student can explore themselves in best possible way. The professor also guides for different competitive exam like JRF, SRF, etc.
 

Placement Rating
College has a well equipped placement cell that offers jobs in private companies like Bayer, Rallies, Coromandel, Dhanuka, etc. and NGOs like PRADAN, PRASARI, etc.
 

Hostel Rating
Well equipped hostel facilities with mess are available separately for boy and girl students. Hostels are very neat and clean.
 

Infrastructure Rating
BCKV have three separate faculty building for Agriculture, Horticulture and Agriculture Engineering. Besides, well structured administrative building and central library enhance the scenic beauty of the campus. A big playground and gym with all modern facilities are available for the students. All the faculty building is well equipped with modern laboratories and seminar hall.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is awesome with friends and seniors. There are different cultural fests like NABARUN (freshers program), Naihrit (Annual Cultural Program), Nisargo (Farewell program) in which students participate freely and enjoy the program. Besides Krishi Mela and different agriculture related fests are also organised by the university’s authority.

    This college provides agriculture, horticulture and engineering facility for B.Sc, M.Sc and PhD. If you are an agriculture aspirant then stop searching, you came to the right place.     For your kind information, BCKV have 3 campuses. One in Mohonpur, others are in Burdwan & Susunia (Bankura). I was the student of Susunia campus from 2019 to 2023. So I'm reviewing that campus. Overall experience is good in terms of campus life, refreshment, etc. I choose this college because it is a government college with the tag of BCKV.     My experience is very good in the university. Bidhan Chandra Krishi Vishwavidyalaya is the number 1 state Agricultural University in West Bengal. Its ICAR ranking is 16.
