Life at KIT's College of Engineering

Overall Rating
It is one of the esteemed Institutes in my hometown. It's run by industry experts and was always considered for my education by my family. I've been having some great time on this Institute. Various clubs and activities have kept me engaged alongside my academics. On the scale of 1-10 I would rate my time here as 7.
 

Academics Rating
The course I have enrolled is Mechanical Engineering, the entry requirements are easy 10+2 with MAHCET or JEE MAINS, and I got my seat with JEE MAINS score. For me the cut off was 43 percentile for Mechanical Engineering. I chose this program because I was always interested into machines and also I have a family business in Mechanical engineering.
 

Faculty Rating
We have a pretty good staff; everyone's truly friendly and equally strict. Most of them are Ph.D holders and are truly an expert in their respective fields. Some of them come from different states and from some esteemed institutes such as IITs and NITs. Their way of teaching is brilliant as they all come with their own notes and ppts with each concept superbly detailed.
 

Placement Rating
Yes we do have a placement cell and it works well too. I mean we get an average salary package of around 5-6 LPA. On a scale of 1-10 it's a 7.
 

Hostel Rating
We do have a hostel here but I live at my home. So I don't know much about the hostel life. But as much as I know of the hostels are pretty decent and also there are PGs available all around the campus so it's even a plus point.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure can be a bit complex to new students as it can be confusing. But overall the infrastructure is really good and quite strong. All the departments are spread out through the campus within a walking distance and every department has its parking area so it's not much of a problem. We have chilled clean drinking water everywhere in the campus. Also we have a football ground with a basketball court near it. On a scale of 1-10 I'll give it a good 7.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is really good here; we have various fests, every month of the year. Few of the biggest are Meraki, Pioneer, Esummit and Abhigyaan held by different clubs such as, Cultural committee, E-Cell and WalkWithWorld. There are also around 15 more clubs in the college where anyone can be a part of and also take part in their activities. On a scale of 1-10 I'll give it a 9.

    The KIT's College of Engineering is the best institute for Technical education and innovation. The Campus of the college is huge and is located at a peaceful location outside the city’s disturbance. The educational pattern followed by the college is very much impressive and understandable compared to other colleges in Kolhapur.   • KIT is the best engineering college in Kolhapur
     

    Overall Rating
    KIT was previously affiliated with Shivaji University but is now an autonomous college. The college has as many as 9 engineering streams. I am E&TC engineering passed out from the 2017 batch. All my answers will be based on that and will give my opinion rather than generalizing things. The college boasts a nice infrastructure and nice teachers.
