Life At Hansraj College, DU

Overall Rating
I always had a dream to study at University of Delhi as it is one of the most prestigious universities in India for Commerce. When I was allocated Hansraj College it was a dream come true for me. Hansraj comes at 2nd position after SRCC for best college for Commerce. My experience here is quite overwhelming with academics and societies. Every time I'm exposed to new challenge which to be honest I adore.
 

Academics Rating
Bachelor's of Commerce Honors is a tough course. Every time I feel there's a lot to study within a particular semester. One should have Accountancy and any Language in their CUET examination subject selection. It's not compulsory to have Mathematics but without the knowledge of it, it's a bit difficult to continue. DU offers placement and maximum of students who gets placed are from Commerce stream, So that's the biggest motivation one has to pursue this course.
 

Faculty Rating
Hansraj College offers one of the best faculties for Commerce. They are highly qualified personnel who have either done CA or CS or were intermediate qualifiers. They all have published many Research papers. One of them is also Coordinator for Visit Bharat. They teach very well and are highly knowledgeable people. I really appreciate their dedication towards teaching.
 

Placement Rating
In 2023, Hansraj College highest placement touched 32 lakh LPA. This year also as I talked my senior and many of them got placed. It could be said that the average package lies between 12-14 lakh LPA.
 

Infrastructure Rating
A lot of new infrastructure development could be seen in recent days in Hansraj College. C block is new renewed. Our all classes have Air Conditioner. The rooms are fully ventilated. The lawns are well maintained with lush green trees and decorated with many flower pots. We have one of the biggest libraries in DU. 4 floored building with a library auditorium at its top. Huge Sports ground, but the sports complex has very bad infrastructure. The ground is only open after 1pm and students are not allowed to sit in the lawns
 

Campus Rating
The life here will definitely make you a very different person when you step out of the college. The crowd here is good in terms of academics. There is diversity as you meet people who come from all across India sharing different opinions. The college consists of more than 50 societies. Some of them are really famous in whole DU circuit. The work in the clubs will sometime get hectic and overwhelming but you gain experience and exposure of how to deal with people.

    So, I joined Hansraj College New Delhi one year ago. I had great expectations because of the name and the legacy held by this College and now I can testify that. The College meets all my expectations. The College is a perfect amalgamation of academics and extracurricular, making it a holistic experience for every student studying here.     If you want to do B.Com Hons. and BA Eco Hons. Or combination of commerce and eco, Hansraj is the best choice for sure. You will get help from seniors, great infrastructure and some good teachers as well. Societies add to this a lot.
